Over the years if I was short and an emergency came up, he let me make payments... He has always ALWAYS let my cat's perscription be filled OVER THE PHONE as I live an hour away now. They even mail it to me. I could at any time go to a vet much closer to me but wouldn't even think of it. He is the best VET in Washington County and his staff is so tenderhearted more

Dr. Hansell has been my vet for over 20 years and he has always been there when I needed him. He has always diagnosed my pets correctly, and performed some amazingly complicated surgeries with excellent results. He is a quite man but he reminds me of the Dr House on TV. more

I have never had a problem with this clinic. And my dog even died under this clinic and they did everything they could even tho odds were slim. My dog had a labor and couldn't give birth to her pups. They took her in as soon as possible..this was a while ago so I can't quite remember how long but it wasn't too long. They immediately gave her an ultrasound and c sectioned the pups. They were able to save two pups but the mother dog died..they had to put her down..sometimes that happens..but the vet I had was a woman and she called me at 10pm that night..she actually had the dog at her home to monitor her..so I hardly believe this clinic to be unprofessional..i think they would try their best to save your pets..but after she died I was left with 2 pups..one died later from pneumonia but that is common because they don't have a mother to rely on for immunities and care..however I did get one dog out of it and she's a great dog and is still here with us now..considering her hell coming into this world she is the best and strongest dog and I wouldn't have her now if it weren't for this vet clinic..At least they don't suggest euthanization as first option like the Chestnut St clinic does..now you want a jerk personality and dumb vet..go to Chestnut..but not Animal Hospital on 19..they gave always been friendly and professional more

I just read the horrible reviews that have been posted on this website and I am completely shocked. I have been a client and my furkids have been to Dr. Hansel for OVER 20+ YEARS. He has NEVER ever acted less than STELLAR with my furkids. I am sickened at the lynching that these animals lovers are giving him. Dr. Hansel AND HIS GREAT staff have always ALWAYS gone above and beyond with me and my kids. more

Just brought our pup in for one year rabies and other shots, and it was a fabulous experience. They answered all my questions, encouraged me to encourage my pup onto the exam table, and were also quite funny and sweet, while being professional. more

I've been taking my animals to Ft Washington for about 8 years. Besides being extremely professional, I've found them to be excellent diagnosticians. Also, I've referred some very picky pet-owners to them and the picky people have been quite happy with them as well. One of them had an FIV+ cat and they took extra special precautions for his visit to make sure his immune system wasn't stressed -- my friend was thrilled. more

We always have a good experience. We were greeted and called by name as was Petey. In my conversation with Dr. Hansell, it seemed like he was always at his office now that I had three animals for him to care for. Dr. Hansell was kind enough to check Petey's medications and said he was due in december again and if I wanted he would go ahead and give Petey the shot and it would save me the trip. I really appreciated that. It's a little to much for me to always bring the animals together for a visit. Thanks! more

Some of the time, the wait in the exam room was a bit long, but other than that, no complaints. more

My pets are precious to me. If I didn't trust this man, I would be taking them to another vet. I'm not rich. Dr. Hansell's practice isn't the least or most expensive around, but I trust a vet who honestly loves his profession and his patients. I take in rescues, often with serious, chronic conditions that require long term care, and I have never been dissatisfied with their treatment. more
