Warren Theaters - great for dinner and a show... 12/14/2006

Having been to a couple of the Warren Theater locations now, typically when visiting my family in Wichita, I've become a fan of ordering gift certificates from them for family holidays and birthdays. This year I've got 2 family members that will enjoy gift certificates from Warren Theater, my mom (dad will also get to enjoy them) and my sister-in-law. Considering my sister-in-law is difficult to buy for (at least in my opinion) I figure this will give her a way to either get out with my brother (her hubby) for a night out alone, or to take the family. Her choice. Buying clothes for her doesn't work, and I don't know the stores she normally shops in. According to my brother each year there are new things she's "collecting" and I also know she's doing a lot of selling on Ebay so I'd rather whatever I get her not show up for sale online. This kind of gift gives her an experience instead of more "stuff" too and it's highly renewable. I could get it year after year and the offerings would always be different. My kind of awesome gift to give and to get!!!!! I'm hoping someone will take the concept of the Warren Theater and bring it to Seattle. Being able to order dinner, drinks, and watch a movie out at a big screen theater is wonderful. There is one small theater like this in Seattle now but it's an expensive place for food. I'd go more often if we had a choice more like Warren Theater. http://www.warrentheatres.com/ more

Expensive! 12/29/2005

As others have said, the Warren is certainly one of the nicest places to see a movie. The seats are comfortable, everything is kept clean and classy, and it is overall a great movie-going experience. I see the Warren as a special treat. I don't go very often, and I don't know how families with several kids could go without feeling a big dent in the pocket. Every time I go, the price seems to have gone up, and I am always surprised. My husband can buy a DVD and watch it on our big screen at home for less than it costs us to get tickets and share a popcorn. You pay for the whole experience, not for just the movie. I see it as an occasional treat, but not somewhere I'd go every weekend. more

Amazing theatre experience 8/17/2005

When I want to go see a movie in Wichita this is the only place I even consider. With luxurious seats, a well dressed staff, and GIANT movie screens, going to the 13th Street Warren is always a pleasing experience. Even as their ticket prices inch up, I would rather pay a few extra dollars for a clean theatre, and less for a crappy movie-going experience. more

A touch of Class 8/5/2005

The warren theatre is without question the nicest theatre in the midwest. From the moment you walk through the entry, everything is taken care of. The prices are a little more expensive that what you might be used to paying to go to the movies, but it is well worth it. However, the concession stand is a total rip off. I usually stay clear. You can also go to the Warren Diner which usually is pretty good. There are two sections of seating as well, an upper and lower balcony. The upper balcony provides services to those 21+ and is $15 to enter. It is well worth it. The warren is a good place to go! more

A Date to the Movies 8/2/2005

I like going to the movies here because they have confortable seats and great equipment to make the experience good. I don't like how the prices can get really expensive though. It isn't as cheap as the small theatres. They have a variety of movies to choose from so that is a plus though. more

Possibly the best place to see a movie 7/22/2005

You're driving to the Warren Theatre; you've been wanting to see this great movie for a long time. When you get there, you see this great display of lights and think to yourself - wow. But it gets better. You walk in, and you're greeted by a number of people dressed up in old-fashioned movie clothes. The seats in the theatre are so comfortable that (if you're watching a movie you don't want to watch) you can fall asleep in. They have a variety of food and snacks, though the prices are a bit pricey. Nevertheless, the place is close to perfection. more
