About the BandWally's Swing World is a seven-piece little big band featuring the smooth vocals of Wally Trindade. Wally also plays guitar and is backed by upright bass, piano, drums, and a three-piece horn section. The band is based in Santa Cruz, California.Among numerous accomplishments, Wally's Swing World has earned recognition in local Readers Polls. In the Good Times Best of Santa Cruz awards, they were named Best Jazz Band in 1995, 1996, and 1997, and Best Swing Band in 1999. The readers of the Metro awarded them Goldies in the category Best Local Jazz Band in 1995 and 1996, and Best Local Band in 1998 and 1999.
