Saved our butts! 6/26/2010

My college roommates and I were in FL on spring break and on the way to the beach and began having problems with her car running rough and stalling. It wasn't a Ford but we were close and went in. We weren't treated like four blondes in bikinis but were treated attentively and were back on the road in no time with the car running fine and without paying alot. Way to go Walker Ford! ps- The waiting room was a bit chilly! : ) more

Family operated business that I would trust. 9/10/2005

I had a recent experience with a recall on my Ford. The service technician was rude and attempted to charge me for the service because I did not immediatly have the repair fixed. however, after meeting with the owner they agreed to do it Free of charge. I can't say the experience would of been so pleasing if I did not have assistance from family members who bought a vehicle there. But overall my experience was good and I would return because they showed good faith in the end. PROS: Family operated CONS: more

Easy experience 7/26/2005

We have used both the sales aspect of Walker Ford, and the service/body aspect. We bought a 2003 Ford Explorer with no problems. They had the best price around. They even beat Autoway's family discount! We have also used their service department and won't take our Ford's anywhere else. more

Treat your customers like family, and treat your employees like family. EB (doc) Walker started the dealership on Treasure Island in 1957. Frank, EB’s son started when he was in Jr. High School. Frank started out washing cars. He worked in every department and eventually took over the business when EB retired. Frank’s son Weston was born into the business. Weston, like his father has worked in many departments and is being groomed under Frank’s guidance for the day that Frank passes the torch to him. Weston’s daughter Taylor was also born into the business. We think she should at least go to grad school before her training starts.
