I had a horrible experience at this Walgreens location today. An employee Barbara was standing there talking to another employee, when my son & I approached her to ask where something was instead of offering to show us she looked me up & down with distain. Granted I did have on my Sunday best but I wasn't bad either. My son who is bi-racial was standing next to me. I honestly believe that was her problem. I am bi-racial myself but look white. He is clearly bi-racial. I went on to locate my item then was disappointed to see the rude employee had moved up to the check-out so as she was the only person checking people out I had to go thru her line. The (white woman) in front of me was getting treated quite well the rude employee Barbara was smiling & friendly & pleasant towards the woman in front of my son & I. She even continued to make small talk & friendly conversation with the customer. But when she turned to me & my son her demeanor changed dramatically. She was cold didn't make eye contact other than to glance with a distain look towards us. Not even a cordial kindness. Nothing but rudeness. I did not attempt as I usually do to be nice to her either as she had made it clear she didn't like us & didn't know us from Adam. Thanks Walgreens! Way to teach your employees that everyone's money spends & is green! Wow! What a hateful bitter woman! I went back in & talked to the assistant manager & he said he would speak to the manager & I told him I would blog about my experience. He was very kind & helpful & apologized. I told him he had no reason to apologize he had not been the one to treat me that way but someone should know how this woman treats people she at a glance decides she dislikes!
