Last summer I bought a Venus Fly Trap from Walgreen's. I had always wanted one of these and I was very excited to find one. The plant actually came complete with fresh flies in the container, as apparently the Trap hadn't eaten them yet.
Well it took my Trap a while to get around to eating those flies, but eventually its jaws closed and I was ecstatic. But whenever it would eat a bug, that part of the plant would die and not open up again? Was this supposed to happen? I have no idea.
I kept looking for new growth on my Trap and it was minimal. This made me very sad. So I am not sure if my Venus Fly Trap failed because it was from Walgreen's, or if I just suck at them.
This year, however, I am going back to Walgreen's and buying seeds to try and grow a 6ft tall Sunflower. I'll keep everyone updated.
