I can't imagine this was an adventure park at one time. This is such a beautiful, tranquil place. The Audubon Society now operates the park which consists of a massive botanical collection (including rare and endangered plants), bird sanctuary, and Hawaiian historical sites. Learning about Hawaiian culture, the environment and conservation are the main focus of the park but there remains an element of "entertainment" -- people walk the scenic trail towards a refreshing wade in the pool at the foot of the falls.
