We should not have gone in. The parking lot was filthy with motor oil and whatever. There was a dirty trash can by the front door.
But we went in. The waitress yelled that there was a wait. No list, just wait. We sat down, but others came in. We asked how they knew who was next. She said whoever is next in line. To their credit, people were fair and didn't try to push ahead.
We sat in a teeny tiny booth. The food was right up against your body. The breakfast we ordered was cooked just as we asked--no complaints. But the noise level with the workers yelling at each other and customers laughing and yelling loudly was hard to bear.
Everything came on a separate plate, and soon there was no more room to set anything down, so the waitress just handed me a plate with two sausage patties on it. I had to find a place for it and consolidate some plates to make room, but it was my problem to solve.
The real appetite killer was that I went to the restroom. It was as filthy as any gas station restroom I have ever been in. When I get home, I am going to report this place to the Covington Health Department.
