Last week, I purchased the VW Touareg TDI from this dealership. I must say, It was a pleasure. Most of the negotiating was done over the internet, so that made it easy, and when the terms were agreed upon, I came down to inspect the vehicle and sign the papers. It doesn't get much easier than that. When I came down, I was welcomed by all of the staff who kindly directed me to Howard who I had dealt with earlier in the day. This guy knows this business very well. I inspected the vehicle, took it for a spin, then came back to sign the papers. No games. I appreciate that. Within the last week, I had some specific questions as to the operation of the NAV/DVD unit and how it is integrated witht he rest of the vehicle. I phoned Margot Murphy who was VERY RESPONSIVE. She put me in contact with their expert almost immediately and answered all my questions. I traveled out of my area to get to this dealership and it was worth it. I reccomend this dealership, but with all major purchases, make sure you do your homework and research on the internet before you start price negotiations. more

Service was good for me! 3/24/2010

I had an emergency repair and they got me in that day and got me out in good time. Since I was without my car, they had the shuttle drop me off at home and then pick me up when my car was finished. Horrible experience - this dealership lies to sell vehicles 11/7/2008

We got a lease here last year - this was our first lease, and we trusted Fernando, a friendly sales rep that we worked with. He promised us that we could improve my partner's (admittedly bad) credit by putting both of us on the lease, then after a year we could refinance the lease and lower our lease payments. Outright LIES. A year has passed and for some reason, friendly Fernando doesn't remember telling us that we could refinance a loan because it is IMPOSSIBLE to refinance a loan without purchasing the lease! Total scam- I do NOT recommend this dealership, and particularly suggest steering clear of Fernando! Pros: Nice tropical fish display Cons: Sales staff lie to make sales more

Broadway Volkswagen Screwed Up Again 5/21/2008

In November 2006 I brought my car in for a 60K service. The next day following the service my husband is driving to work and the undercarriage loosens up and starts dragging on the freeway. He immediately pulled over, got help to temporarily fix it and headed back to the dealership only to find out screws and security nuts were missing. In May 2008 I brought my car in for a 80K service. A week later following the service my husband is driving to work and he hears a knocking sound when he presses on the clutch and the car starts shaking. He immediately turns around and heads back to the dealership only to find out that the wheels were not centered correctly. Who knows what will happen at the next service (if I decide to go back)! Pros: The people are friendly. Cons: The mechanics need to do a better thorough check of services before returning cars to customers. more

Patronizing and Rude Customer Service 2/16/2007

I decided to try this dealership for my car's scheduled maintenance (usually go to Royal Motors) and when I got the car back, the trunk latch was broken. i know for a fact the latch was not broken when i dropped it off because when they first called to tell the extra work that had to be done, they never mentioned a broken latch. only after i had picked up the car did they say they had noticed the latch. they are obviously lying because the first thing one notices when they go in the car is that the trunk light's on. After trying for two days to talk to the manager (they said he was a the dentist, and later that he was on vacation!) they said they would fix it for $200. Be warned! these people have no scruples and are especially rude and patronizing if you are a woman. more

Unhappy with Broadway VW 1/27/2007

I could never recommend Broadway VW to anyone. Purchased a 2003 Jetta in Sept. Have had nothing but service and major mechanical issues ever since. The worst part of it is the Service dept - they act like I should have expected this. One day when the water pump went out, my cell phone battery had also died. I asked to please use a phone to call a family member - they said No phone! I sttod staring at a full bank of phones. What? Just flat out rude. Communication is very poor from service dept - no phone calls, hard to reach them. Closed on Saturdays and evenings for pickups. I had a hard time getting registration paperwork and think there is something unethical about them - took me two months to get a refund check since I had to do my own paperwork - now the DMV is telling me they didn't file something correctly on their end. Hard to reach them - by phone, email, etc. They just don't respond to issues at all. Even calling VW North America didn't help. They actually suggested I take a partial trade in on the $20K car I bought and buy a new one three months later. And lose $9K. New cars may be safe since likelihood of issues is lower but I would go elsewhere. Pros: Peter in Sales knows his VW ! Location is very convenient. Cons: Service dept has poor follow through. No response on issues from management. more

Broadway is unethical 12/27/2006

Be very careful of this dealership or any for that matter. They are not very honest. Of course, they're nice they want your businesses but ethics is another issue. I was told that they search around for interest rates but they actually only go to a select group. I asked they to go through my credit union and they said they did and lied. Broadway Volkswagen Is off the charts 11/30/2006

I bought my Toureg from these guys and had fun in the process. This was like no other car buying experience and I recommend it. In fact my daughter loved my zippy Toureg so much I went with her to see if she can purchase one as well. Brady Gibson, the Sales Manager, showed her a TDI Toureg. So this zippy SUV is great on gas, and stocked full of luxury. We has no idea this type of Toureg was available and thanks to Brady we know as much about it as the man who designed it! We are both very pleased! One other rant, I went in to buy some gadgets for my daughter and I, and Mr. Gibson saw me and noticed me right away.He introduced me to the parts manager and showed me which gadgets work best for me. In this day in age it's hard to find such wounderful customer service, so Broadway Volkswagen is worth my time to write this review. Pros: Fun staff, unbeatable service Cons: that I bought a car from anyone else in the past more

best customer service at a car dealer 9/10/2006

You would expect to read bad reviews for car dealers, but not this one. Great people, great service!! I went in with some credit issues and was treated with respect and courtesy. The sales people and service were four season quality. Pros: customer service Cons: not a very nice building but a good place to buy! more
