Patient, communicative 7/8/2011

Allow me to say that I foolishly avoided the VW dealership service because of really horrible treatment we received in Georgia. But the moment I walked in, Matt immediately took care of helping me. I felt that he was patient, communicative, clear, and understood our situation. He followed up repeatedly and I was incredibly impressed with the level of customer care I received. They have swayed me back!! more

No surprises at all 5/24/2011

Im very happy with service! I brought my daughters car in for service, the car was finished on time, I was informed of the procedure from start to finish, no surprises at all. I wanted to check out the CC, which is why I took daughters car in for her. Great car, learned all about the bells and whistles, coming back to purchase it for my wife. The staff in service and sales seem to enjoy the jobs they have, and really love the product they are selling and servicing. The staff is funny, and I had a good time hanging out waiting for my daughters car. Easy in, easy out. more

They make owning a VW a pleasure 5/18/2011

I have bought 3 cars (1 new bugs and 2 used jettas) from Oakland Volkswagen. I have had a GREAT expereince each time with the salesman who were well informed and fair, but not pushy. I have then also serviced all my cars there. The service department is excellent and flexible (Marina is wonderful!). I have even had to rush in for a few things, and they have always worked it out to fit my schedule. They make owning a VW a pleasure. --Helen H. more

MY BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER 5/16/2011

No pressure 5/11/2011

I have 2 small children and to even consider purchasing a car with the little monkeys running around on us I thought, we need to do it now or never! The interior is nice and clean, my salesperson Mike was young but knowledgeable and very friendly. There was no pressure , I would say from start to finish 1 hour, includes test drive and negotiations. It was very smooth and no slimy people, I thought a monster was going to come out of the closet from the reviews. I'm always for the underdog so thank you for my new car and a great experience! more

I LOVE VW OAKLAND 5/3/2011

As a current customer of Oakland Volkswagen, I am disappointed to read the many bad reviews. I have been to many different dealerships in the past and Oakland was by far was my most satisfying experience. I purchased a 2010 Tourareg 2 from a overly nice sales man, JD Livesay (I highly recommend him). All of my questions were answered, along with more helpful information. I find it ignorant that the former customers are complaining about the pricing. I am quite positive when you go on to Oakland Volkswagen's website there are plenty of options starting with the word SEARCH. Search pricing, services, etc. If you had the common sense to research your next vehicle, or services, you would not be shocked when they give you your bill. As for customer service, I had no regrets what so ever. I actually had the pleasure of conversing with the owner, Michael Murphy, whom was very informative and reassuring. I will continue to go back for many reasons. Volkswagen of Oakland is a highly reputable dealership. I am extremely happy with my new vehicle! --Brittney S. more

Very professional dealership 4/26/2011

Very professional dealership. As always I walk into a dealership with the expectation of meeting pushy sales associates that talk circles around me and make me feel like I misled them if I didn't buy a car. I made a few different trips to Oakland Volkswagen and left without buying a car and to my surprise the Salesman did not make me feel guilty for "wasting their time". Due to this, when I was ready and felt like I had taken the appropriate time to research the car I wanted, I returned and was able to pick out the car that I was looking for, for a great price. more

Feel important and cared for 4/21/2011

I recently had the pleasure of attending a VW new owners dinner here in Oakland about a month after my purchase and I must say I was impressed. The food was delicious and it was great to meet all of the VW family. Hearing from each department and getting to know the faces was informative and helpful. Of course I'm in love with my car so it doesn't take much to make me happy but it was refreshing to see a dealership do something extra for their customers and make them feel important and cared for. I'm sure in the future the luster of my car will wear off but my impression of Oakland VW will not. Great job! more

This place rules! 4/15/2011

This place rules! Seriously. I dealt with Justin, John Wong, and Nick. First ,Nick (the salesman) did a great job at showing me EVERY feature on the Car I wanted.... the last car I leased (at another dealership)they didn't bother showing me anything. I took one of their mini SUVs for a spin and liked it but didn't love it. I asked for something a bit smaller..a GTI. I had some specific things I needed and Justin (Who it seems is their "go to guy" for nearly everything from financial, to "deal building", to finding cars) found one for me and got it to the dealer ship in less than than 30 minutes from Dublin. They weren't rushing me...I was rushing them and they were working with my schedule. Then the Financial advisor, John, took the time to expain how to build up credit (mine was ok but not great) to even higher ranks. He was more knowledgeable than anyone i've ever talked to regarding credit scores, loans, buying vs leasing (just ask him which is better), etc. Seriously, he should work at a fortune 500 company! Anyway, a great experience overall.... more

Presented all options 4/14/2011

This review is for the NEW car buying at Oakland VW. I give them highest marks for listening and recognize the fix I was in with another VW dealer and going to work immediately to find the car I wanted. The owner's son, Nick, ended up working all day to find me the vehicle I wanted at an unbelievably low price. He presented all options and went out of his way to make sure I was happy, which after working with a bunch of Bay Area new car dealers, is hard to find around here. I highly recommend this dealership for new car purchase - if you have any problems, get in touch with Nick! more
