I lived in New Mexico for 20 years, and I know what Mexican food is. The people cooking at the Viva Mexico have probally never been to Mexico or even close to it. I ate there hoping to a taste of home, only getting a bland, tasteless dish that was wishing it could be Mexican. These people do not know how to use Chili Peppers at all. I oreded the Enchiladas and the only thing on my plate that had any taste to it was the refried beans. (note refriend beans are not supposed to be spicy at all) I thought about ordering the Sopapillas but after reading they are covered in cinnamon sugar and karyo syrup I thought better. Anyone who has had a REAL sopapilla knows that is not a sopapills. Oh and they had different flavors of sopapillas! Chocolate and strawberry! What a joke. The chips were bland and stale. Anyone with any taste buds should avoid this place at all costs. Gordan Ramsey where are you?
