The new library in Uptown charlotte is a great place for a rainy day or anytime! Tons of stuff for all ages of children and adults alike. The selection is books is amazing and the available computers are great. I haven’t been to a stage production yet but am eager to go! Very friendly and helpful staff too! more

Editorial
  • In Short
Opened in 1903 and expanded twice, Charlotte's public library has always placed the highest value on education. For those into business, the reference section contains resources for international, nonprofit and small businesses. The Youth Library is set away from the rest of the building, so kids can be free to get a little loud. Teens visit the Think College and Career Center to find information on what to do after high school and beyond.
