it can't get any worse!!! 4/9/2011

The owner of this restaurant was rude and uncaring about complaints made. The food was not good, the service was slow, and the tab had hidden charges. I would never recommend this place. We had eaten there once before and had to kill a roach on the wall - we should not have given it a second chance. This is a dying family-owned business that had great potential. Maybe the old man should step down now before he finishes the place off.\r more

Consistently delicious but takes a while 7/29/2007

Food - 5 stars\r Service - 3 stars\r Price - 4 stars\r \r I had to give Vincenzo's an -above average- rating, because despite the service problems metioned in other reviews, the food is incredible, and more importantly it's consistently incredible. I have been eating there for about 5 years and there is no place else in the New Port Richey area where you can get food like this every single time without fail. It's all made from scratch without compromise. It takes a while to prepare, but it's worth the wait. And the price for the food is very reasonable.\r \r Pros: Consistently great food cooked from scratch Cons: Slow service, not great for large groups more

Reservations??? 4/27/2007

The store front of the restaurant looked interesting and so my girlfriend and I decided to give the place a try. We went in and were asked if we had reservations. We said no and were told by a large man to wait by the door while he checked to see if we could possibly get a table. The man came back and said he would work us in and gave me his card. He asked me to call next time to make reservations. We went to the dining room and were surprised to see that there were only two other tables with people. Apparently it was a dinner show as a man was on stage playing guitar and singing along with prerecorded music. He had a very nice voice which reminded me of Tony Bennet. It was a shame that his guitar was in dire need of a tuning. We kept thinking that the place would be filling up with people but it never did. I think only two other small parties were seated during the three hours that we were there. The food was excellent. Dinner for two with drinks and tip was over $80.00. We haven't been back as we felt it was a little pricey. more

Never got our food 1/23/2007

Not recommended. We did not have reservations and they kept pointing that out. Asked if they could seat us in the bar for about 15 minutes until there was a table. No problem. No bartender. Four people that were sitting at the bar got up and left. We finally asked if there was a bartender. Said they would see if they could find someone. So we got a glass of house merlot that ran us $6.50 a glass! Finally took us to a table after about 15 minutes. Why we had to wait for a table is still a mystery to us. There were empty tables everywhere. Waiter took our drink order and we also ordered a small pizza for an appetizer. He came back about 15 minutes later and took our dinner order and said that the pizza should be out shortly. Then he came back about 5 minutes later and told us that the ""chef"" got in 4 pizza orders so our pizza wasn't even in the oven yet. We told him to forget the pizza just bring us our dinner. So he brought our salads and a basket of bread. After we ate that he came back and told us that the ""chef"" was very busy and it was going to be an hour plus before we got our dinner which consisted of spagetti and linguini. Both that take about 2 minutes to throw together. Told him we weren't going to wait that long to bring us our check. We got charged $5 apiece for the salads and I ordered a Chianti this time so it was only $5.50 or so. Again, for about the sixth time we were reminded that next time we really should have reservations. We asked him what they did when the place was actually busy... Will never go back and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone that was a friend. more
