Village Realty Apt Rentals

Love my home with Village Realty! Kids have a nice place to play and friends in the neighborhood. Maintenance is usually very quick to respond. Office staff has been helpful and friendly. I love calling this place ""home""! more

I currently live in Country Village Apartments and I would NOT recommend Village Realty to ANYONE for ANY of their rentals! Management is very rude, snotty and difficult to deal with at any point in time that you must do so. They try to charge bogus fees like maintenance fees for things that you need fixed, I thought this is why I pay rent! What really bothers me the fact that you have NO PRIVACEY! They feel as though that they can just unlock your door and walk in anytime they deem necessary. This has happened on two separate occasions in less than a year, the most recent being Sunday November 20, 2011. I was standing in my kitchen and felt small splashes of water against my leg. I looked up and there was water dripping from the ceiling! I called the Village Realty and had gotten their answering service. I explained to them that there was water dripping from my ceiling due to the neighbor lady upstairs. They said they would have someone contact me. Shortly afterwards I received a phone call from maintenance for Village Realty. I explained everything to him. He then asked if it was still dripping and I told him that it was not. He said that there was nothing he could do but if it happened again to call back and he would come out to have a look. Nothing more happened Sunday! I went to work on Monday and when I got home there was a tag hanging on my door knob stating that someone had been in my apartment. WITHOUT NOTICE, WITHOUT A PHONE and WITHOUT PERMISSION they decided they could just unlock my door and walk into my apartment. I would understand if it deemed as an emergency situation but I would still at least expect a phone call! This was NO EMERGENCY situation and they decided to just walk in and help themselves! Is this even LEGAL for them to do? To top it off, The note left on the door stated that they saw no evidence of a water leak but yet you can see the big bubble in the paint on the ceiling as well as the paint cracked and it was still damp! more

i moved in to an apartment in feb.2011 not until i moved in did i realize i would be living with all my neighbors the walls are paper thin. I had maintence come in to fix my washer and dryer (washer is holding water and the dryer is not getting hot) while turning of the electric the maintence men broke my vanity made in the 1930's the told me that they didn't do it and and fussed at me for saying they did. Not appreciating the way I had been spoken to to the gentlemen I called into the office and i see where they get it from the owner was the rudest person i have ever encountered; eventually maint, came back to fix washer and dryer that they took it out of the apartment after about 2 weeks with no washer or dryer it dawned on me i pay for a ""DELUX"" I should have that so i called the office again i was told to ""go to a laundry mat..."" so i suggested a loaner and got one. I came home in the middle of the day to find the maint. crew removing the loaner and replacing it with the broken one WTF! more

Do not even bother calling !! I was looking to rent a nice cheap apart. in the Red Lion/ Dallastown, PA area beacuse it was convenient. I was moving to the area to go to college and work, so those areas seemed perfect. I saw a couple places through this realty, but nothing I really liked, so I wanted to keep my options opened. I called again a few weekd later to schedule another appointment and boy was the rep. I spoke to RUDE. She said, ""What is wrong with the places we showed you."" I explained to her that I am new to the area and wanted to keep my options opened. I wanted to see just a few more places, I didn't want to decide to quickly. She explained to me that, ""We have thousands of places and we can not show them all, that is all we have to offer."" Really VILLAGE REALTY, way to welcome a new comer. Thanks to that kind of customer service I definitely WILL NOT be looking for rentals through this realty. more

You will regret it. Moving from Windsor Commons in Red Lion, PA (very, very nice luxury townhomes, but a little costly) to Cape Horn Villas was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. We moved here to save some extra money so that we could purchase a house. I admit, I did not do the proper research. I also did not account for the extra cost from the extremely outdated, all-electric appliances. When you add the additional cost, the very small amount of money that we save each month does not make dealing with this drafty, dirty house worthwhile at all. I wish we had never moved here. The office and maintenance staff are very rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated as poorly by any staff before. Maintenance response is very slow and they are cheap. The appliances in this place would be really nice... if this were 1975! They didn't even paint or clean the carpets before we moved in. Our socks were almost black after a couple of days here. Snow removal is darn near DIY. The response is very slow, sometimes they don't even plow until the day after it snows, and they don't come at all unless it is over 2 inches, and then you still have to shovel your walk and around your cars. Landscaping is lacking as well, to say the least, and the garage that houses six dumpsters is disgusting. Parking is horrible... unless you only have one car. Office staff are always going around hassling you about parking on the street when there is not sufficient parking. Where do the expect you to park' It got so annoying that I seriously considered parking in the plaza down the street and walking home, but now I am to the point where I don't care. Did I mention that my wife works with a Doctor who knows the owner of Village Realty personally' The Doctor says the guy is a complete jerk. Go figure. Do not come here! It is an embarrassment to say that we live here. We can't have even have our friends over. more
