Not all it's cracked up to be 11/10/2011

Although Viera Hospital touts a 3 minute ER waiting time, we waited in the ER patient room for 6 hours. We were told there was one doctor working. As it turns out my daughter tore her ACL in her knee, not dislocated her kneecap as the ER doctor implied. The ER staff X-rayed it, which did not diagnose the problem and did no further tests. Further, if you want your physician to have access to your ER record our report and they are not a Health First physician, you must go to the hospital to pick up your records. Just what I want to do as I am preparing my daughter for surgery, which will not be at a Health First location. I thought I would give Viera hospital a chance, since it is new and all, but I should have went to Wuesthoff; from now on I will. more
