We've had nothing but great care from this hospital, when it comes to emergency, they are swift and caring, we have had to deal with them for over 5yrs with our little chihuahua who had a neurological terminal disease and she spent many nights here and the care was great. They impressed us with their caring attitude. And when the time came we had to let her go, she wasn't going to get any better they were loving and gentle! I recommend them for long term and emergency care. Pros: null Cons: null more

Had it not been an emergency I would have never allowed these money hungry, cold and uncaring people care for my pet. I was absolutely appalled by how "mechanical" the front staff is and that when it's an emergency you are told "it will be between $300 and $500 to start care" before they even find out what the story/problem is. I encountered that statement as well as one other person that brought her dog in for emergency care. \r The vet at first told us we could take our puppy home, however after doing xrays she stated it would be best to leave her overnight. When we asked about cost she whipped out her calculator and had an estimate that we absolutely could not afford, so we opted to take her home. Once at the front to check out, they refused to accept our check - we had no other means to pay at the time and ended up having to get a family member to give a credit card number over the phone and we paid the family member back the next day. VCA Emergency vet in Lynnwood 8/16/2011

They nearly killed my dog!!! I brought my 13 year old lab/shep mix in late on a Saturday after she became very dixzzy and could not get up. I was told she had Vestibular disease and they recommended I put her to sleep. due to a shift change it was a good hour before I could see her to say goodbye. When I finally went in to lya dowen next to her and hold her, she felt my stress and jumped up demanding we leave now. this was not a dying dog. I told the vet she was not killing my dog. they took me into a room and gave her a shot for the dizziness and took a Urine sample since she had a bladder infection. None of this was discussed with me as a possible reason for her dizziness, yet the wanted to kill her. she bounced back once the infection started to clear and has been fine since. this place is scary. How many loved pets have they killed that were just fine!! Be afraid!! and question everything!! more

I have reviewed every hour and decision made during the short 48 hours during which my two year-old Portuguese Water Dog became critically ill over July fourth weekend, and my conscience in assuaged in knowing that he received the best treatment available in the Pacific Northwest at the VCA Emergency Department. From the moment in which he was carried back to the intensive care area to the time in which we made the sad decision to end his suffering, our small family was supported by professional and compassionate clinicians and staff. A heartfelt thanks to them for understanding and anticipating our needs, endless questions, and frantic concerns. Most importantly, the staff allowed us to say goodbye to our pet with respect, on our own terms, and as a family. This act of kindness deserves an accolade, in my opinion. more

We brought our dog Chewie in to hospital with heart failure. They went to work on him immediately. We were very impressed with how they tried to save him. Sadly we lost him. Our bill was not out of line with what they did to try to save him. I do not know what kind of fees we would have received if they were able to revive him. He lived a good life and I guess it worked out for the best as I am not one to spend thousands on an almost 14 year old dog. We loved him and miss him but are happy to know that he is romping around with all our other loved pets in doggie heaven. more

Our dog, an epileptic Australian Shepard has been a patient at the VCA for over 2 years. We have our specialist Dr. Kline who by far is the most incredible Doctor on this earth, loving, caring, concerned, and by far incredible when it comes to the knowledge in her field. We have been under the care as well of several other doctors at VCA when she has been out of town or middle of the night emergencies and all of the doctors and staff are beyond incredible. They have always been supportive and there for us as dog owners. All professional services have a cost factor, but I do not believe that they are any more expensive than anywhere else and they are worth every penny that we have spent on our dog. I have had dogs all of my 59 years and I feel fortunate that God placed Buddy, our epileptic dog in our family and fortunate that we are able to get such great care from Dr. Kline and the VCA staff in Lynnwood. Veterinary care for my animals was excellent at the VSC, but I found their business practices poor, bordering on unethical. After my dog received excellent energency care. I paid a bill of over $2700. Unknown to me, the vet had failed to charge me $100 for a final test for my dog that was conducted on the day of discharge. Three months later, I received a call from a collection agency. The collection agency rep called me a"deadbeat", screamed at me and threatened me if I did not immediately pay the bill. I called the VSC immediately, but no one would answer my phone calls or explain why I owed them money. After two weeks, I finally got through to the VSC bookeeper. Although I didn't know anything about the test, I paid the bill immediately. However, I still continued to receive harrassing phone calls from the collection agency who also reported me to a credit agency. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but even the BBB ciould not get a response from the VSC. Be careful of doing b more
