To Carol R. Unfortunate you had a bad experience. I hope you will give them a second chance. I'd prefer a Vet/Dr that is more serious and to the point rather than a bubblynon-concerned Dr. But I can say, that the Dr.s at Kolbrooks have been wonderful to our pet. There is never a wait and see approach. They have been upfront and give their opinion as if it were their pet. The fees are very reasonable. The staff is kind and caring. Not everyone is going to have a good day everyday, but if the Vet/Dr's know what they are doing, that makes it all worth it. more

I love, *love*, *LOVE* our vet (and we've had a lot of them over the years!). I also priced all the vets I could get to in more than 20 miles, and they were the best over all! I have found them to be warm, loving, and forthright. When I had a dog that was hit by a car I used Metzger's Emergency services and they wanted to do hundred upon hundreds of follow-up tests. I took Dudley to Dr Kolos as well (since she was our regular vet) and she was honest and said that the tests wouldn't hurt, but if it was her dog, she would feel secure knowing that he was in good health with what was already done, and didn't need the extra $800 worth of tests. She was right and he was fine.\r \r When a pet passes they send you a very personal card and make an imprint of their paw for you. They are down to earth people who know what they are doing!!!!!\r \r I can't speak highly enough of this fine establishment. If you want pretentious, this isn't the place for you. more

I love this Vet. most INEXPENSIVE in state college area (I checked all the vets in 20 mi radius). Lovely ladies, very polite, very clean, does not smell at all. The vet is extremely nice and smart. They do the laser declaw which is safer than other options. more

We've been going to Kolbrooks and they're great. It's small, but everyone is very friendly and does their absolute best to ensure your pet's health. We have three pets (two cats and one dog) and they've always been there; even coming in on a saturday for an emegency when my yellow lab punctured himself on something in the woods. more

I went to Kolbroks awhile ago for a vet appointment first time the place smelled awful and the vet was very unfriendly to me as well as my pet. I now go to a new vet and am very satisfied. I do not recommend her . I also believe the office was over priced as well. The staff though were very friendly . more
