I came in looking for something to transmit an AM radio signal, and an older gentlemen helped me look for something. When we couldn't find something that would solve my problem, he asked me to describe my problem. I told him exactly what I was trying to do and he immediately had an idea. He told me to take an AM radio tune it to around 1500 khz, then take another AM radio and tune it to 495 kHz below that, and I should be able to hear interference in the first radio. What the heck I thought, how is that gonna work? I got home, tried his idea, and surprisingly it worked exactly as he had said! He knew that number right off of the top of his head! Amazing. His solution totally helped solve my problem, I didn't have to spend a dime, and while I was in the store I found this RGB led strip that was exactly what I needed for another project. Best experience I\'ve ever in an electronics store. Amazed at how helpful the staff was. I will definitely be coming back in the future. more

Walking through vetco is a bit like walking through the set construction trailer for a frankenstein movie. It's filled with slightly industrial-looking, mostly unidentifiable junk.Some of it has a computer-era edge, but most of it is more mechanical.... blowers and tanks outnumber LCDs and power supplies. If you're a backyard inventor, this is probably your dream store. If not, you will probably wonder why anybody would shop here. more
