Since we came back to Colorado 5 years ago,we rediscovered The Fresh Seafood Co. and have been good customers ever since. The food is outstanding and the personnel is so nice and...

Worst

First of all, the place was cold. The service was okay. I was really surprised that they had a list of 20+ sauces but no one mentioned anything to us about picking sauces. Howe...

The Best So Far 11/14/2002

I have moved to Denver about 6 Months ago, and have searched for a good place to go in this town. Vesta is a place where you can go, with a company or not, and meet nice and interesting people. It has great drinks, great salad, and a nice environment. It is not a sports bar, no mullets and not poorly dressed people. If you want to stay away from rednecks, Vesta is the place to go. Pros: environment, drinks&food, good looking people Cons: sometimes pricy, kitchen closes early more

I love it I love It I love it 11/13/2002

Don't listen to the ciritics....I lived in Denver for four years, and Vesta was my favorite restaurant all four years. Every sauce is delicious, and the filet mignon is such a perect cut of meat, you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. Awesome wine list, comfortable for big parties, but romantic for a quiet evening. The waitstaff is always accomodating, and even brought me a free piece of cake (with out being asked) when he over heard I had recently graduated from college. Cons: must have reservation more

really good stuff 10/14/2002

Vesta is amazing. Try the duck. You will cream your pants. The interior is cool and the seats are sweet. Vesta is possibly the top restaurant in town. Enjoy. more

Vesta Good 10/6/2002

This was my first experience at such a place. The decor was neat and unusual in that they had copped plated menus, and pipe fittings for napkin holders, but the food was the best part. There are so many dipping sauces and that was what made this so neat. I couldn't help but try everybody else's food, and none of it was bad. I would recomend this place. Pros: Different, Excellent tastes, Laid back atmosphere Cons: Expensive, Have to make res. more

Good but overrated! 9/15/2002

Vesta knows the key to success with the LoDo crowd;funky atmosphere, booming techno music, loud bar, and a condescending staff, combined with a novel approach. Cramped tables, swanky snooty staff , and different food do not equate to great. Anyway, once you get by the indifferent attitude of the staff the food is pretty good. The samosas are good dippers, but the grilled shrimp were a touch musty. The grilled ahi was good, made better by the excellent wasabi cream, though the accompanying noodles were pedestrian. The bone in pork loin is the best thing on the menu, but skip the chutney sauce. The red jerk mayo was excellent, as was the mango poblano salsa. Skip dessert. The creme brulee was perhaps the worst ever, overcooked and cheesy; the caramel apple thing is too strange. Too expensive for the value; won't be back. Pros: Sauces, Entrees Cons: Indifferent Service, Bad Desserts more

Hip and Happenin' 9/12/2002

Vesta is the hip, happenin' restaurant in Denver. The nouveau industrial decor with the exposed brick wall and metal beams provide the feel of a fun new place. The food presentation is pleasing to the eye and the 20+ sauces to choose from for each entree offer a creative spin on typical menu choices. Some of the sauces need more ""body"", especially when sampling with pita bread, but most are pretty well balanced - do not pass up the orange blossom soy or the yellow curry. My favorite memory of the whole experience was the bread accompanied by a whole roasted garlic bulb served after we ordered. Oil and salt and pepper were already on the table and the combination, though simple, was definitely a treat. The service was a little rushed and unnatural, but bring good company and you won't really notice it. Pros: fun atmosphere, tasty sauces Cons: rushed service more

Fab food, great service 9/3/2002

We went for the first time for my birthday, and we loved it! I had the duck (amazing) and my boyfriend had the beef skewers. Our server, Kit, was super--he was so helpful and knowledgable about the food. We will absolutely go back. Pros: Great food, Helpful staff more

Taste is Primo 8/4/2002

I never knew that ""taste"" had such a range. Vesta's sauces are incredible. Their creativity is wonderful. Their staff and owners know your name and care about their community. more

Best food, SEXY staff, great atmosphere! 8/4/2002

Vesta is the place to see and the place to be seen in Denver. The food is some of the best I've had (try the duck, so delectable!) The service is always above and beyond. The atmosphere is filled with electrictiy and beat bountiful music. The bar is thick, curvy, concrete and 40 feet long! The staff, is by far, the SEXIEST in Denver! Whether you're on your first date or your hundred and first, Vetsa will exceed all your expectations of yummy, romantic, and sexy! more

Distinctive & Unusual 7/29/2002

No question Vesta is the most dinstinctive restaurant we've experienced in Denver since moving from Boston (a pretty good restaurant town). Very funky & eclectic decor. First time we went we were mesmorized by the guitar player on the over-grill stage (we actually stopped eating - which is saying a lot). The tastes are what set the foor apart. The variety of grilled food choices are regular. The tastes offered by their dipping sauces are the sensation. Nothing like going to a restaurant and experiencing wonderful tastes. Nice hostess and wait staff. Handle crowds quite well considering. Pros: Ambiance / decor, Sauces (tastes!), Music Cons: Can be crowded, Parking hit or miss, Noise more

Fun,Fun 7/26/2002
