Vesta knows the key to success with the LoDo crowd;funky atmosphere, booming techno music, loud bar, and a condescending staff, combined with a novel approach. Cramped tables, swanky snooty staff , and different food do not equate to great. Anyway, once you get by the indifferent attitude of the staff the food is pretty good. The samosas are good dippers, but the grilled shrimp were a touch musty. The grilled ahi was good, made better by the excellent wasabi cream, though the accompanying noodles were pedestrian. The bone in pork loin is the best thing on the menu, but skip the chutney sauce. The red jerk mayo was excellent, as was the mango poblano salsa. Skip dessert. The creme brulee was perhaps the worst ever, overcooked and cheesy; the caramel apple thing is too strange. Too expensive for the value; won't be back.
Pros: Sauces, Entrees
Cons: Indifferent Service, Bad Desserts
