We brought our car in for repairs, and were so happy with the great honesty we got from John regarding our car! This is where I will bring my car for now on! more

After going to Midas and being told there would be $99 charge just to tells me why my car was making a strange noise I looked online and found Vegas Auto Care. John at this shop couldnt have been more helpful. He diagnosed the problem as well as advised me that it was something that would be covered under warranty and I should take it to the dealership for repair. For all future repairs I will return to Vegas Auto. Its good to find a shop where they are honest and tell things like they are. Thanks!!!!! more

My wife and I arrived in Las Vegas a few months ago. One of the things on our to do list was to find a reliable auto repair shop preferably before requiring an emergency repair. I frequently stop at a convenience store on the corner of Spring Mountain and Jones and discovered a repair shop behind the convenience store, Vegas Auto Care. I took a drive through the center and saw a motor home and a stretch limo being worked on as well as other cars. As I drove by I noticed on the shop door had a AAA logo and made a note this might be a good place for service. A few weeks went by and I decided to stop in and have my brakes checked. When I pulled up there was a beautiful vintage coupe going in for service. I figured that people who have vintage cars trust these guys so this must be a good repair shop. I was impressed with the level of service. It turned out that my car needed some brake work. The manager took me into the repair bay and showed me the front and back brakes and I could see that the front brakes were worn. While I was waiting, I noticed that the manager made several calls pricing parts before he gave me my estimate. When the work was done, they had done a safety check on the car and told me everything else was in good order. Vegas Auto Care will be taking care of both our cars. You know it was nice to be thanked for my business. more

I took my van here after it failed a smog test and was running bad. I expected to pay a few hundred dollars for the repairs. They ran a diagnostic test on the car only to discover it was an oxygen sensor plugged in the wrong place. Van runs well and passed smog. They only charged me for the test. I feel most places would have tried to sell me a tune up or something I didn't need. Would bring my car and van here again and recommend this place to others. more

I had these guys fix my daughters car when it broke down outside of Las Vegas. Based on the reviews, it seemed like a good place to send her. Her car had to be towed and it was a Friday night. They replaced her fuel pump, filter, cleaned the fuel injectors, and replaced the serpetine belt. I feel they pushed unnecessary items on her because she was stranded. When she stopped late on Saturday night to fill her car with gas, the fuel went all over the ground. They had not put the tube back into place after changing the fuel pump. She missed a show that she had tickets to and couldn't move the car because she was out of gas and had now pumped a few gallons on the ground. We called the manager the next day and he apologized and promised to refund the price of her show tickets. Took our address, and apologized. That was the last we heard. I don not recommend these guys. more

First time working with a mechanic outside of something besides Chevy. Was really great, Fair price, and the guy knows his stuff. I talked with John when bringing my truck in and he told me that my fuel pressure regulator was off, after he replaced that part everything worked perfect ... even things i didn't think were going to be fixed. I DEFINITELY recommend going to these guys. The exterior of the shop looks a little beat up but hey, that just means they're doin good work Pros: Honest, Straight forward more

My engine light came on friday morning as I was taking the kids to school. Since we had planed on driving to CA for the weekend I called the dealership to see if they would look at it. One week till they could fit me in. After a few more calls and similar replies I tried Vegas Auto Care by the recommendation of a coworker. I told them my time constraint and they had me come straight in. Hooked the car up to the computer, diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 min. They even banged a dent out of my rear bumper, no extra cost. They could have charged me extra because I need the car fixed fast but they did not. Great work. I needed a fule pump replaced on the wife's van. The tow truck came to my work and took care of things promptly. The work was completed quickly, with quality, and at a fair price. Best mechanic in town . . . and I've tried many of them. This place is very reputable, honest and they do great work. I was quoted $1500 at another shop for various work that needed done on my car. Vegas Auto Care gave it a thorough inspection and came back with only 1 repair that really needed done for $160. It is running great and I will not EVER take my business anywhere else. You can trust these guys - they will treat you right. more

Love this place!!! They are the most honest mechanics and the only ones I trust in vegas. Cant tell you how many times I've brought it there and left with nothing wrong because nothing needed to be fixed. Last time I was in there I had fluid leaking everywhere and temp was getting really hot, called me within an hour and told me the cap wasn't on tight enough!! Expected major repairs, atleast a couple hoses, could have told me anything but instead i owed them NOTHING. Doesn't get more honest than that. Especially because I'm a girl! I highly recommend Vegas Auto Care. HIGHLY !! I had taken my vehicle to a the dealership several times for warranty work that the company claimed was ""not covered"" by my warranty through some loophole. I brought the vehicle to Vegas Auto Care to have my brakes checked, and, as a sidenote, to see if they would make one last try to get this warranty work done. John called me the same day to say that the warranty company had agreed to pay for the repair. This after hassling multiple times over this issue, and John was able to get the job done with no trouble whatsoever. I only wish I had not wasted my time taking my car anywhere else!! And, by the way, my brakes were replaced at a fraction of the cost that Brake Team has charged me in the past. John has integrity and that is hard to find in the auto industry. Told me I needed a engine and all i needed was a head gasket I had the job performed and now my car drives great for abought $1000 less than John wanted to charge.Watch out for this place more

Hello, this Is John the store manager at Vegas Auto Care: I check forums,like Citysearch, on a regular basis to see if we are keeping everyone happy and once in a great while I get the displeasure of telling someone news they dont want to hear. When a car comes in with a catastrophic failure like a blown head gasket there are a number of factors that I go by to determine if the vehicle is even worth repairing ie: age of the vehicle, condition of the vehicle, mileage of the vehicle and the make and model of vehicle, all of these factors play a huge role in repairing a vehicle. If the car is over 10 years old and has over 100k miles on it and is not in very good condition it is probably not worth repairing the head gasket because the liability is too great. This shop has a number of nationally recognized credentials such as AAA, Ac Delco TSS, ASE and so on, therefore we have to have confidence that if we repair a vehicle and that person decides that they are going to drive to Florida they will not have a problem. I make recommendations based on my experiences and these factors and unfortunately it makes some people unhappy. I guess what I'm trying to defend here is our commitment to ethics, we will not repair a vehicle if we feel that the repair is only going to band-aid a more serious problem that could leave the customer stranded out in the middle of no where. I appoligize if I've hurt anybodys feeling here but we have to look at the bigger picture so that we can continue servicing our customers with the high standards and customer service that they have grown to expect. While it is great to find an honest mechanic, I cannot recommend Vegas Auto Care. While I was there having my car looked at, I heard (I'll leave his name out of it) tell a customer that they checked her car, there was no problem with the atlernator, the ignition systems, or the starter. I thought to myself ""Wow! They are really honest here."" He told her it was the battery. No biggie! Then I heard him say it would cost $230 and change to put in a new one. If you don't know, a battery costs around $50 at any walmart, target, or auto store and can be hooked up in less than 5 minutes. 500% markup! No thanks! I know that five minutes of labor is not worth $170. Thats $2040/hr., just so you know. Pros: Might be honest about your problem Cons: Definitely not honest about the price being charged more

I brought my car here to be serviced based on a prior review that I saw here, and was extremely satisfied with the results. The service was very good. I was quoted $720 and bill came to $720.90. They got my car in and out in a very timely manner and even gave me a loaner car for the duration of my car being there. They were friendly and honest with me and didn't try to add any extra work that didn't need to be done. Overall I'm very satisfied and will definitely being going back there with any future car issues. more

I always leave this place with a smile. These guys are prompt, honest, reliable and friendly to top it all off. I got an oil change at the Brake Masters down the street from my house and they gave me an estimate of more than $3000 repairs that they noticed and said needed to be done right away.. I brought my car back to VAC and they charged me $140 to replace the A/C belt and now my car's fine and dandy. I love these guys. Pros: Informative, Friendly, Honest, Reliable, Prompt more
