I went to Veda for a 50 min. prenatal massage. It was pricier than I thought it should be, but I really wanted to get a massage on my vacation. I should have listened to my gut. I called beforehand and asked if I should show up early (my appt. was at 11) and they said I could, but it didn’t matter. I got there right at 11 and had to wait about 10 min. When I finally got to go back, I had to urinate, of course I am 29 weeks pregnant. Then, before we got started, the therapist wanted to have a consultation. It was probably about 11:15 at this point, but I couldn’t find a clock. The massage was okay, but parts of it felt really rushed and more like a friend applying sunscreen. It was right before lunch and her stomach was growling. Not that it’s her fault, but she could have had a snack or something- it definitely felt like she was running low on energy. She was sitting in a rolling chair and that probably explains the lack of pressure. The worst part was that she massaged my feet, and the next thing I know, she’s massaging my face! Definitely a no-no- I felt so gross. When it was over, I found her clock and noticed that it was 11:55. So, I got about 10 min off of my 50 min purchase- and I was on time! At a place this expensive, that’s not okay. I left a little less of a tip than I normally would- that’s all I could do at that point. The therapist was right behind me out the door to lunch! I wouldn’t recommend going here for a massage.
Pros: Nice environment, Nice People
Cons: More expensive than it's worth, cheated on time
