If you get a bid that is vague and you are a little bit leery of going forward because of a couple of negative reviews a few years ago, listen up! Forget about the 2 negative comments that seem to follow this company around! Vearlene Snow and her crew, just completed a beautiful project for me redoing my waterfall. There was nothing but honesty, resourcefulness, willingness to exceed expectation, and great value for the money! I would bring them back for more projects in the near future! The owner of this company was not prepared when she showed up at my house and had to return to her home to pick up several items that she forgot. Then she tried to charge me for the extra time it took her to drive all the way back and pick up her equipment and other items that she forgot. Definitely make sure you get everything on writing before they work on your yard or you will definitely be nickel and dimed for every little additional item they decide to tack on. I thought they were extremely shady several times during the day wanting to charge more than we had initially agreed upon. The workers put back a rock wall the wrong way and it was dangerous and unbablanced. The day after they came, my handyman came to finish putting in a wood fence and couldn't believe what they had done to my rock wall. He asked incredulously ""Don't these people take any pride in their work?"" Nope, they did not. When I called to complain about it, they said they would come back but offered a poor solution to fixing it. Instead, I ended up just paying my handyman extra because he DOES take pride in his work. Honestly, I was scared to have them come back and see what further mess they would do. As a final lovely parting gift, they left cigarette butts all over my backyard. I would not hire them again. more

We had a small pond in our back yard and wanted to turn it into a water feature, as we were hoping to get a puppy. Vearlene helped us create a vision, took in our idea's and considerations, and came back and created a beautiful water feature. I especially loved the great crew that she brought, and the way they went about the work. Very respectful of the space, and kept everything cleaned up as they went. We're in the middle of Montlake, and the sounds of the water creates a special atmosphere and a feeling of being with nature right in our back yard. Vearlene has a natural ability to see what's possible and manifest her vision. We love our water feature and loved working with Vearlene and her crew. more

I had Vearlene come by and look at where I wanted to put in a water feature. She took my ideas and made some very good suggestions as to making it better. I did the work late in the season so she recommended not doing any plantings as there really weren't very many good plants left. She recommended that we wait to the Spring. The work was done during one of the wettest days we have had in recent memory. She covered the exposed areas and made sure that everything didn't wash away. She cleaned up afterward and was very thorough. Here crew were all on time and very courteous. I would recommend her. more

Ever since Vearlene put a fabulous fountain into my front yard, passersby have been stopping to admire the beautiful sound of cascading water. Even after two years I enjoy stopping to take in the sight of my fountain on my way in and out of the front door. Last summer I had Vearlene and her crew redo my backyard and a number of other projects in my large 1/2 acre yard. I was pleased with the professional results and was amazed at how much they were able to do on a budget. Wow. The neighbors have all commented on how great everything looks. I was impressed with Vearlene's artistic vision, creativity and knowledge. Her crew was hardworking and effective. I recommend VEARLENE'S PEACEFUL PONDS to anyone looking for artistic, beautiful and well done landscaping and water features. I have seen some of her other work too and it is fabulous. Vearlene is truly an artist, her work is spectacular. We love our backyard now !! It feels like were at a resort with the waterfalls and beautifully designed landscaping. I can't say enough positives about Vearlene and her crew. I don't understand that other review at all as our experience has been so positive. Vearlene has come out in the freezing cold rain to help us fix a problem that was OUR fault not hers. We had them come back last year and put in a raised patio and cover all our ugly old concrete with stone. It is gorgeous and was done on time and with impeccable quality. I am having my front yard done this summer, Vearlene takes a lot of time gathering ideas and giving me choices and then meets with us to draft our plans. She is both knowledgeable and professional.
