We took the Grand Tamale - most expensive tour - for my husband's birthday. The brochure ( which I picked up at the owner's winery just a few weeks before) stated the cost as $984. Expensive - but for a special occasion - worth it. George (Pilot/owner) told us that the trip included a stop for lunch at Roche Harbor.
The trip itself was spectacular and it is clear George is a good pilot and knows what he is doing. The problem is that when it came to getting the credit card bill George added Tax, a Fuel Surcharge AND the cost of the lunch. Nowhere in the brochure is does it say these charges would be added. There are no asterisks saying price subject to change. When I called with my concerns about the added expenses George agreed to remove the Fuel Surcharge. However, he only took off $100 which meant not only did I pay for his lunch but I actually paid for more than the original bill plus tip!
We are very disappointed.
