In response to the last reviews. First off, the bakery uses fresh berries and the Chef is from Paris. Many customers come into the bakery and comment on how they feel like they are back in Paris. Perhaps you haven't tried the pain au chocolate or almond croissiants. (cookies aren't the best choice) When a customers cut another in line and yells at the server that they were first it is most def. not the servers fault. Your server probably already felt badly after being screamed at by an customer who is obviously acting like a child. The most a server can say is ""can i help whoever is next"" It really isn't up to the the server. Also, in that particular cafe there is a line that is at the register, and there are signs placed throughout the cafe stating this. If you are just browsing on the other side the server believes you are just looking or still deciding, and they are waiting until you are ready to be served. Just because you walk into a cafe and have what you call ""bad service"" doesnt mean that it is typical. GIve it another chance. There aren't many french cafes with tarts and cakes and a variety of croisiants which are made everyday and brought fresh at 5am. Also the cafe is open 7 days a week and only closes for christmas and thanksgiving. ALso, trash overflows throughout the day, it cant just sit there all day. The trash is changed throughout the day and there is no avoiding that! The bakery has been around for over 8 years and has two other locations in duxbury and chestnut hill
