VCA Becker Animal Hospital and Pet Resort

SPANKY!!!!!!! We had never had to take our son to a VET in ten years. It was just as bad as every open heart surgery that our daughters had every hospital visit, the moment the doc walks in and gives you the look of bad news. DR BROWN walked in with that look but took to SPANKY, he took one look at her and in his eyes you knew he had fallen in love. SPANKY didn't just take to people he was a abused dog who was very sick when we saved him. He was our first child.She walked in with a stern face but with compassionate and a love for her job. This place went all the way from their heart to help us financially because we have lost so much already and two days back home from Colorado, where he had got sick. We had no money at all, and struggle to get it. She did surgery on him and gave us two weeks extra with our son. The bond that we had with that dog was like any parent would have with a child. This place is a GOD SENT AND SHE AND HER STAFF OUR ANGELS!!!! SPANKY went in for his follow up and he would not being leaving back with us that day... Unfortunately he had another tumor grow in so fast and big. He was suffering and we knew it was time. Being that DR BROWN knew what was best she still try to make us feel like there was hope and offered to send him home with meds and be hopeful. We decided to not be selfish that day... When you sit there and watch a DR cry with you and feel your pain you know at that point that she loves her job that much. Staff is amazing.BECKER HOSPITAL WENT AND HELP OUR FAMILY CREMATE HIM, because we financially couldn't do it. There are no words on how amazing this place is and they deserve to know at the end of the day people will not take the time to tell them are amazing they are but at a drop of a dime will turn around and rate them poorly and take crap. I will never go anywhere else they gained my trust like our daughters Heart Surgeon and Drs!!!!!. They are now our new FAMILY!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! more

My beloved dog of over a decade had a stroke today (Sunday). Rushed him over to Becker Animal Hospital and to try and save him was over $900. Before they would treat him, my husband had to drive 20 miles away to get a company check only to be told they machine would not read a company check on the weekend. Finally, pulled all the money together using 3 separate transactions - debit card, credit card and cash. They did not treat him until all the cash was there. My baby died today, needlessly and I am so heartbroke. They wasted time waiting for money and I wasted time and trust that they would do the right thing. Shame on them for not even trying to save him while my husband went to get a check! more

I travel a lot for business, and I always use Becker Animal Hospital for boarding, in addition to veterinary treatment and grooming for my doxies. I love the facility and service. All the staff and doctors I've dealt with have been great. It does get slightly backed up for pickups in late afternoon, but that's why they call it rush hour ... it's not just on the roads : ) more

This place is GREAT. I've got a crazy schedule, and most vets either aren't available during my hours, or charge me extra. This is a clean, professional operation with everything in one place I need. Medical service, grooming and boarding, 24/7. I'm glad I found it, and am happy to recommend it. more

Many people have things to say about Becker Animal Hospital's great doctors, service and boarding, and I'm certainly one of them. But I've never seen anything about Dr. Michael Becker's work with the animal rescue community, so I just want to let people know that he helps rescue groups. My husband and I have been involved in rescue groups since we lived through Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Thousands of animals were lost or abandoned, and even after six years, there are thousands of animals in "temporary" foster homes that were never intended to be permanent. During the current recession, animal shelters have been filled to bursting as people are no longer able to care with animals, and we're still working on rescues, to help keep animals off "death row." One of these Katrina fosters came to us pregnant with nine puppies, and we've had a long road trying to adopt them out. Dr. Becker heard about it, and donated full series of vaccinations, worming and spay/neutering for the last four pups, so that they would be off-the-shelf adoption ready. Thanks to Dr. Becker, aside from one pup that died early on, this whole family has gone to good homes! Bless him! more

Dr. Sarah Pittman (only 1 yr out of vet school) was extremely rude on the phone and wouldn't answer my ONE question regarding my pet's procedure...she basically hung up on me. My dog has been twice and each time he comes back smelling of fecal matter, as well as minimal cooperation/communication with his home vet. AND upon more research, not only do they have horrible reviews everywhere, but one of their main doctors was arrested and/or jailed for animal cruelty TWICE because he killed his neighbors dogs w/ an ax & a mallet! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! more

Becker animal hospital has always treated our pets with care & respect. Dr. Becker & Dr. voloson are really "great" vets. I recomend Becker Animal Hospital to all my friends. Mark, Joel, Sonya, Leslie and everyone else on your staff treat my wife and i really nice. I will continue to use Becker Animal Hospital for as long as i have pets. more

Awesome Place! I've been using Becker Animal Hospital ever since my Siberian Husky named Sulley had a leg injury back in August. They were quick to help and did a great job. Sulley luckily did not have any breaks and just needed some rest for the next month. Great pricing and I was able to get Sulley his shots, heartworm test and medication, checked out by the vet with x-rays, and it all cost me less than $300. I think that is reasonable when you want to make sure that your best friend is taken care of and everyone was very nice. I plan on using this place for the life of Sulley and my other Siberian Husky, Sebastien. more

Very friendly staff spoke on the phone and in person. They offered me options that best suited me, my dog (and wallet) Area was very clean and spacious allowing for the dogs to get accommodated. more
