I do not consider UW-Oshkosh a world-class university, but it certainly has a lot to offer! Some programs are near best in the state for public universities (for example, business and education) and has some significant achievements (like nationally top rated Model UN group). But just like any university, you will have professors that are great and not so great. I received both undergraduate and graduate degrees from this university and feel that it is a quality education, especially for the price. Tuition costs are very reasonable and their financial aid office is one of the most friendly/helpful staff you will find.
The campus is nice, there have been a ton of work done over the last 3-4 years to make it nicer. One of the best assets of this place is their library - extensive on site collections, access to internet research, and they'll get any article/book you need from any college in the nation. I would recommend this university to anyone who wants quality education away from a big city. Cost of living is reasonable, which makes student life less stressful!
