That food was outstanding! Therapy really pushed my husband to be able to do as much as possible. I am grateful that I was able to participate in my husbands care during his therapy. Nursing was attentive. Speech therapy was excellent and helping progress function before discharging from hospital. more

Respectful staff 8/28/2025

I have been treated with respect and kindness by all of the staff. Therapy never discriminated, and was always showing patience with me. Staff went out of their way to encourage and explain things to me, even if I needed to have explained again. more

This place is fantastic. The staff is very good. The therapists tell you when you were doing things right and when you need to change things. This place is very clean. The nurses and aides will get you anything you need, the little extras. The food was good, and it was always delivered on time. more

Very caring nursing and quick to answer call lights. Nursing was always checking to see if I was comfortable. Therapy is a great team! Therapy really got to know me before they set my goals. They took their time and individualized my goals. more

Top notch 8/5/2025

I am so glad I decided to get my rehab here. Everyone has been so nice. The care is really personalized. This is a boutique hospital. Therapy really pushes you and puts you through the paces. I am so much stronger. They come to you and check on you. They have conversations with you. I give every department accolades. There was never a bad word. I am happy to go home. more

This place is 10 stars! Everyone is cheerful and really gives you personalized care. They carry on conversations with you. Everyone knew what they were doing and didn’t miss a beat. They will be really makes you work hard. The nurses and aides are top notch. The food was outstanding! Everyone really work together to help get me back home again. more

Eased my fears 7/29/2025

I was so afraid coming into this, and I couldn’t be happier that all the staff just made it so much easier. They are so kind and nice. It eased all of my anxiety and all my fears I had about rehab. I am truly grateful. The therapists have been wonderful, more than what I would’ve expected. All the nurses have been super. I can’t even begin to say how thankful I am. If anyone ever has to have rehab, I would really recommend they come to UH Avon rehab. more

Everyone here was excellent. The food was great. Therapy got me going again and I needed that. The nurses and aides helped me including with my meds and helped me whenever I needed it. I was here before. It was great then and the same now. more

Love the team 7/25/2025

Loved the therapy team-Mary, Denise, Patty, Shane, and Jacob. Dietician taught them new things regarding diet with amputation and blood sugar control. Case management was really great/friendly. Great nurses too that are always smiling. more

Therapy was fun 6/26/2025

I really enjoyed my time here! Everyone’s been great and I learned a lot. The attitudes of the staff is what made it great. It was hard work, but you can smile while you’re working. Mary was great and we got to listen to Prince during therapy. I had a lot of fun. more

Grateful 6/10/2025

Everyone has been very kind, I was very grateful for that. If you follow the instructions like you’re supposed to, it is really an easy road. The therapists really helped and they make you feel safe. You really get better fast. Oh, and the food is really good too! I would really recommend this hospital to others! more

The care was excellent 5/7/2025

The care here was excellent. The food was really good and I got extra portions when I asked. The therapists really put me through the paces. The nurses and the aides were on top of things and helped me every step of the way. They helped me get ready to go home and plan for things at home. This is a great place. I am glad to get home. more

The hospital was great, Cece set the pace. She is always “ go go go!” Lynette has been great and very knowledgeable. Katie from PT has been great! Everyone has been so kind! Everyone! Elaine and Diana were also great! more

Sterlimg Experience 4/21/2025

This was a sterling experience for me, it’s unbelievable that there is a place with so many caring people. Feel the hospital functions as well oiled machine, and the staff are always happy and enjoy their jobs. Nursing was attentive and anticipating my needs, staff was patient and never made me feel rushed. The food was good and met my needs to manage my diabetes. Dr. Robles was amazing and patient with his explanations. Therapy exceeded my expectations, I progressed further and faster than I thought I could. I’m amazed that I’m using my left side already! more

Great place! 4/10/2025

Everyone was great here, everyone was super friendly. They do a lot of little extra things all the time. When I needed rehab, this is the Place I wanted to be. They work hard in therapy, but I was up for it. I was challenging myself they helped me with stairclimbing. Everyone helped me with a plan for preparing my food safely at home too. The nurses and aids were fantastic, the food was good, and Courtney who helps you with your food, and Trey was excellent. Every person who came into my room even the doctor said before leaving “is there anything else I can do or get for you” this was a great experience! more

  • We offer specialized treatment programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic injury as well as other injury and illness. Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ from other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Our patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy at least 5 days each week.
