Our family was first invited to UFF for an Easter Celebration in 1989 and have been home at UFF ever since. We focus on Jesus and desire to follow His ways in everything we think, say and do. There have been many changes since the person that reviewed previously. Those pastors he speaks of are no longer with the church. If you want a comfortable place to worship the Living God, come give us a try. We do our best to make people feel at home, while the Word of the Lord is shared with love and compassion. UFF Hope Chapel in Sparks. Was founded by Robert Owens. They tend to live this idea of ""back in the day."" This is their largest idol that they have. The current head ""pastor"" Don Ellis is trying to live in the shadow of Robert. But A) lacks the charisma that Robert had. B.) He doesn't really want ministry as much as he want the Santa Claus in the Sky that he calls Jesus. He has adamantly stated that ""There should be no lack in God's house."" Yet towards the last months that I personally sat under him working towards becoming the youth pastor. UFF Sparks was operating thousands of dollars under budget. This church is on the way down it's crashing hard and fast. Don Ellis has no accountability and it was my heart braking experince when after 2 years; going through their version of seminary working towards becoming the youth pastor that he violated sripture and unbiblically removed me in the middle of a sermon. His reason was that after he asked me a question during a sermon that he gave about a sermon that someone else gave. I answered no and he unbiblicaly then commanded me to leave and never come back. It is clear that he spoke out of anger but even after meeting with him personally he refuses to repent. You would be better off going somewhere else.
