This place is a joke. The store is falling apart and needs attention badly. I couldn't believe how trashed the place was. I wouldn't waste your time knowing Rrockin E is right down the street. There are broken fences everywhere you can turn a horse out. The arenas have no sand and are a complete dust storm. The place really needs to become cleaner and better maintained. more

Don't waste your time! 12/8/2010

There are broken fences everywhere, the arenas haven't been taken care of and its always a big dust storm. The store is a joke and looks VERY unprofessional. I wouldn't even waste my time when Rockin E is nearby more

Have you checked out the new and improved Universal Equestrian since Jeff and Suzie Hansen took it over? Improvements are awesome! Barn renovations offer greatly improved ventilation, ample shavings, cleanliness, lighting and plenty of safe and well organized tack space. \r \r The small arena is level, in excellent repair and the footing is excellent. \r \r Large indoor arena is excellent for the western disciplines (reiners Jim and Tiffany Montgomery are on site). \r \r Bonnie East takes care of the hunter/jumper, eventing and dressage crowd. Kelli Behunin, local show expert, excels with training (Arabians are her speciality) and is a fantastic riding instructor for riders of all ages. She's really great with kids (adults love her too). Owner Suzie H. has some time for training as well. \r \r A fenced outdoor arena is perfect for warmer weather riding and there's an outdoor trail plus plenty of turn out. \r \r Check it out; you're sure to be impressed! (And, as always, the American Cowboy store is the best around. Jed and the girls are friendly and really know their stuff). Pros: Conscientious new owners, lots of horse people on site Cons: Nada more

Don't!! 11/25/2008

Like above reviewer stated, this place IS a death trap. The insulation is falling down and there are people there who don't know anything about horses and act like they do. Turn outs are useless, falling fences every which way. Stalls never have enough shavings. A friend of mines horse had been breaking out of her stall for a MONTH before the manager decided to tell her!! Not a good place at all. The store is nice however, and on the cheaper side. The people in there are super nice. Pros: Large indoor arena, and large outdoor arena Cons: Everything else more

This place is a death trap for horses! 9/3/2007

Universals advertisements are completely false. This place is a total pit. The fencing is dangerous. The stalls are very small with poor ventilation, and are not cleaned properly. Footing in all the arenas is hard and not well maintained. There is no turn out. There are large rodents in the barns. I have seen them with my own eyes. The owner is a liar and cheat. It is not a place to board your horse or leave your horse for training if you truly care about your horse. The place is a total dive. Oh one more thing the rest room is so freaking gross. In two months of going there it was never cleaned at all! Pros: Trailer parking Cons: everything else more
