I've been having problems with my Brakes on my Mongoose XR-75 21 Speed for over 2 months(1year old bike). I've tried adjusting the cables and Pads myself with no luck for some reason (pads and tires are new). I've had over 20 different bikes over a 40 year period and I've always worked on my own, but with this new Mongoose either the front & back either drag or I got nothing. \r
Well after almost crashing into a couple of cars and hitting 2 pedesterians that stepped out in front of me and I couldn't stop fast enough, I decided to call in a Pro.\r
So I put my bike on the CATS Bus and went down to the Ultimate Bicycle on Sardis. The two guys working there were real nice and polite, even with me trying to be a cheapskate (because I figured it was something I could fix, so why pay someone to do it).\r
Well unknowing to me the inside of my rear brake cable housing was rusting and the cable was not sliding as good as it should, ( It looked brand new on the outside and I wash/wax and lube my bike every weekend, because its my only wheels).\r
These guys hooked me up with a new housing for the rear, new cables front and back adjusted them to grab real good and for 20 bucks I was in and out of the store in 20 minutes. And to think I put up with those dangerous brakes for 2 months.\r
These guys know what their doing service wise and they also have a lot of nice bikes and accessories.\r
I'll be going back to them the next time anything comes up with my bike or if any of my fellow riders need something I'll recommend them to go to these guys.
Pros: Fast Service for Walk/Ridein Customer
Cons: no Raw Bar...but then I wouldn't have had time to eat anyway
