Highly recommend 12/13/2010

I recently used Chicago Movers for my move. The team arrived and got right to work. I've moved many times, using Mayflower in the past. These guys were much less expensive and just as efficient. They took extra care to make sure fragile furniture was wrapped and packed on the truck properly. I will definitely use this company again for my next move. Highly recommend. more

Highly recommended 12/10/2010

These guys are great, they showed up on time, they dressed and were very professional, they handled our belongings as if it were theirs. He explained the whole process from when the crew would arrive to when the job would be completed. I have already told my family and friends about their service. I would definitely use chicago movers Moving again! more

What can I say, this has been an absolute pleasure working with these guys. Every detail was planed out, Everything went off without a hitch. Quick turnaround for my delivery. They encouraged me to be organized and I must say that strategy made things easier for both me and the company. Strongly recommend and will definitely call again if I need a mover. more

Great moving experience 12/9/2010

Santiago and his crew were very efficient. From the minute I called till the moment they signed off, entire thing was well planned. The crew followed all the instructions as per instructed. The items were carefully wrapped and labeled. Not only during the move, had it also helped us while unpacking. I wish them all success. Keep rocking guys. more

Very professional movers 12/21/2009

The movers arrived around noon with a large truck (not the huge 18 wheeler I was expecting). An assessment was made that another truck would be needed to assist the four movers and the large truck. The lead mover made a call and we were assigned two more movers with a large truck to show up in about two hours, which they did. We were moved very, very efficiently by six movers who were very, very professional. The move was nine hours. My niece and I are impressed with how all things were handled. Cash payment was required, so at one point we were nervous that we did not bring enough. The movers were fast, but we had miscalulated the time, so paying by cash lessened a great gratuity. The additional truck cost us more by the hour (for seven hours we paid a much higher rate). Having the move done in a huge 18 wheeler truck (one truck) would have saved us dollars. more

These guys were the best movers we've ever used. 12/2/2009

Moved us from a two bedroom, plus loft, two floor apartment--the top apt. in a 4th floor walk up--to a 3 floor house. both locations were in chicago and close together. these guys were the best movers we've ever used. our apt. was really tricky, with many levels and a narrow spiral staircase. the movers worked efficiently and quietly. they didn't balk at taking stuff we didn't want to bring down to the alley (including a bookshelf made of bricks!) we had had other movers help us move into the apt, and they had a difficult time navigating the space, but these guys seemed to know exactly what to do. they gave us a rough estimate of the time needed and came in hours under that. the whole move start to finish only took 5 and 1/2 hours. nothing was broken. they took great care to wrap furniture well and were careful at the new place putting things down exactly where we wanted it. also put down moving pads so as not to dirty the floors when they walked in. office staff was great too. more

AVERAGE SERVICE AND MOVING 6/29/2005

I used this company 6 months ago to move some excess furniture from my home to a storage shed. I was really disappointed in their removal staff and their lack of manners and friendliness. They also were very rough with the furniture that I needed to move. The furniture got a few scratches on the sides of the arms from their bad maneuvering. I spoke to the manager of this company and he said that we could not prove that his guys did it. I told him that I saw them do it and they didnt apologise and the manager didnt care. So if you need to move use another reputable company if you value your posessions. PROS: CONS: damaged furniture more
