Tyerman's Automotive and Suspension

I've been going to Tyermans for the last 5 years. They're really friendly and personable, very on top of things, and able to diagnose things my old mechanic didn't even find. When I first went to Joel he was able to find everything that was wrong with my car when other people couldn't figure it out, it was awesome. I've been loyal ever since. They're always able to find the little things that people miss. The pricing is very fair for what they do, and for their labor rates, it's actually cheaper than the dealership I go to. When I call or come in and they say it's going to be 1.5-2 hours it's almost always faster than that, I've never had an instance where it took longer. I'm very happy with how they handle their scheduling, and they have great customer service! more

They have been there quite a few times and I would highly recommend them, they do excellent work and they are very friendly they feel very honest as well. Many times with mechanics you feel that they are giving you the runaround but the guys at Tyermans are upfront and their work also backs up what they say. They do a very good job with my car. Every time I have gone there, I tell them the problem and they are very straight up and honest with me about what needs to be done, and what I can do to avoid similar situations. My car has been working now for 12 years and I take it there all the time for checkups and to make sure it's still running well. I have used Tyermans Automotive and Suspension for a few years now and have always had outstanding service from them. They work on 3 different vehicles that I own, and they always provide excellent and affordable service on my vehicles. They are always legitimate and explain what is happening while they are working so you are kept up to date with the status of your vehicles, I have never felt they are trying to overcharge me or pull me into some repairs that I don't need. I've been taking my car to Tyermans Automotive and Suspension since I first started driving fifteen years ago and it's always been a wonderful experience. They've done oil changes for me and always go the extra mile. Every single mechanic who works here knows what they're doing and treats you like a friend. They make sure your car is working up to speed every time you bring it to the shop. They check your tire pressure and air filter levels and take care of anything that needs to be done so your car is working properly for as long as possible. We have used the guys over at Tyermans Automotive and Suspension for a large number of repairs and projects. We work in the film industry some times and these guys did some movie vehicles for us which was some very intensive work. While the work was intensive, they were able to finish it all in a very timely manner, and they stuck to the price they quoted to us before they started working. We really appreciate all the work they did for us and the quality was great. These guys make sure that dealing with them is always a good experience. more

Tyermans Automotive and Suspension is by far one of the best shops out there. I don't take my car anywhere else. I actually heard about them through a recommendation from another shop in Burbank. I went to that shop to have my car checked out and they referred me to Tyermans, which says something about their skill. Their expertise is amazing, especially Mason's. He does all the customizations for my car and I don't trust anyone anywhere else. Mason's done so many of the customizations for my car that I can't even count how many things he's worked on. I can't stress enough about his skill. He is one of the finest mechanics out there and has a lot of skill and experience in doing custom work. My car is in showroom condition and I am so proud of it. For the work that I've done to my car, it's expected that the rates are a little high, but they're fair. I think the quality of the job you get is in line with the rates they charge. Mason takes his time and tries to make sure that it's top notch. I am always very satisfied with the work he and Tyermans in general do. more

For years, my car has had suspension problems. installed air shocks, no help.front end never felt right. I was told I needed to replace the springs. The guys at Tyermans figuered out the problem and my ride has never been smoother. Thanks more

I really don't have any complaints about Tyermans Automotive and Suspension! I brought my vehicle in, and it needed quite a bit done to it. They told me it would be about two to three months worth of work, and it was. It didn't take any longer. I'd used them before, at least five years ago, for another vehicle I was working on. I remembered they did a really good job for that work, and that's why I went back to them. I am going to use them again. They were very fair with me, and if they had any questions they would call. They were doing practically a whole restoration of the car - suspension, shocks, springs. But any time they had a question for what they should do, they called. Then they went ahead and followed through on everything I asked them to do. Joel, the owner, was very courteous. He was the one who would call if there were any questions. I really, really appreciated that. I didn't want something done when I had the chance to say otherwise. Debbie did the numbers. Of course, nobody likes a bill, but I understood what the costs were. Whenever I needed a total she was there. She was very nice and courteous, and she offered to have one of the guys give me a ride home whenever I needed. Mason was the guy who worked on the car. He was extremely meticulous, and he went above and beyond what I expected when it came to the details. Because of the work he did, I will always recommend them and always come back. As a matter of fact, I'm going to call them to get some referrals for paint work. I'm lucky to have them here in town! more

This was the first time I have been to Tyermans Automotive and Suspension. They came recommended to me from the (JOC) Jaguar Owners Club of Los Angeles. I own a '56 Jaguar XK140 and it is difficult to find anyone willing to work on that type of car. I needed to have tires installed and the front end aligned. This shop went beyond my best hopes of finding a good shop. Not only did they successfully mount tires onto my wire wheels, but Francisco my technician was the best expert I could have ever asked for. He was able to use his computer to find my exact model for the alignment. He found an issue that wouldn't have been apparent to us otherwise and he fixed it. When I pulled onto the 5 freeway, my vehicle tracked dead center with perfect balance. I'll go back in a heartbeat, again and again! You have to understand, I am the second owner of this car, my uncle was the first owner. I was 11 years old when I first drove it and 14 when I drove 110 mph in it! This is a preservation class Jaguar, and I love it. It's a very special skill Francisco has and it has been a journey finding somebody with the understanding and skills necessary to work on my car. He is the exact right person. I hope Francisco is planning to work there until he's 85! more

I have been taking my car to Tyerman's since I could drive, so approx 14 years now! In addition, all my cars have been brand new, and I never once took them to the dealer for maintenance; I've always taken my cars to the shop I trusted! Being a woman, It was always my concern when looking for an Auto shop to service my cars. I was concerned that repairs and service would be performed on my car that was not needed or that I wouldn't have the reliable and skilled mechanics to work on my car! At Tyerman's I've always had great service, the Office Manager, Debbie is super sweet! She always gives me rides back to the office while they work on my car... and has stopped at Portos for me so that I could pickup a quick bite to eat before the office! The Shop Manager, Joel, always goes above and beyond when I ask him for his advice. I was recently looking for a VW to buy and when I came into the shop the following week he gave me a complete rundown on the different models, which one to stay away from, which year had the best safety rating, etc. All the mechanics there; Valente, Mason, Jr and probably a few others I'm leaving out are really nice and professional. They have never made me feel like I was being jipped and they are able to explain to me what were the issues with my car. They also are great about telling me what repairs/maintenance I can hold off on vs. selling me racking up my invoice. When you are there, you feel like family! I've been a customer of Tyerman's Automotive and Suspension for 14 years. They're always fair, and they take really good care of you. They drop me off and pick me up from my home, even when I have an emergency. Actually, just yesterday, I had a blow-out in my car and they took care of me. Tyerman's has done everything from tires to air conditioning, alignments to electrical work. I've done every single oil change with Tyerman's Automotive and Suspension and do tire rotations there for both my cars. They just go above and beyond their call of service. Tyerman's is a nice family-owned business. They're dependable and reasonable. I would recommend Tyerman's to anybody! more

I have been going to Tyermans Automotive and Suspension for at least ten years. I visited them originally when a friend referred me there for a specific suspension issue. They did so well, that when I found out they were a full service shop I switched to them completely. They now service all four of my vehicles, exclusively. The thing I love about them is that I never have to go back. If they fix something, it's fixed. And they don't use cheap parts, like so many other shops do. Also, they always have the work done when they say it will be done--they don't keep cars for two weeks. I don't know how they do it, because the shop is always full. They clearly have top notch mechanics. I'm there every 3,000 miles, and for whatever I need in between. Everyone at Tyermans is ultra polite, with myself and my wife, and ultra efficient. I've recommend them to friends, who have fallen in love with them, too. I can't hardly recommend them enough. It's nice to find a good mechanic--it's like finding a doctor you like and trust. Tyermans Automotive and Suspension works on recent late model cars as well as vintage performance cars. They offer a broad range of skilled and specialized services. Tyermans has a staff of high-skilled mechanics that I trust for specific services. There aren't too many places outside of Tyermans Automotive that I recommend to do specialized work. Their staff is attentive and conscientious as far as I know. I found out about Tyermans Automotive and Suspension through word of mouth, and through professional level mechanics because of what Tyermans offered. I've been using them for quite a long time; I'd say over ten years, for a good reason! They're conscientious, thorough, and honest. They also keep up with current trends, and cover a very broad spectrum of services. Tyermans Automotive also follows up with their work. If there are any unforeseen glitches, they're attentive to those matters. My automobiles have been bailed out by Tyermans, and they've found efficient solutions!! I drive my vintage cars and people ask where I take them. I tell them I get them worked on at Tyermans. There are unethical people out there but the people at Tyermans Automotive are very ethical. more
