Rocket Man Super Hero (Larry Epperson) A Five Star Young Man 7/23/2008

I live in Louisiana. Recently, my daughter in Beggs, Oklahoma sent me an article from the Sand Springs Leader. The article was about a tree cutter (Larry Epperson) doing his job in a bucket 70 feet high in the air. I thought the person who wrote the article might like to know a little more about the wonderful young man in the article. In northeast Louisiana, Larry Epperson is known as ""Louisiana's Horse Whisperer."" He's the best horse trainer for gaited horses that anyone can imagine. Larry is gifted when it comes to any kind of animal (visit him at home and ask to see his two border collies). When he was still in Louisiana, Larry worked at one time as a zookeeper. During his time there, a black panther escaped its cage in the middle of the day while there were many people in the park. The police were called, among others, to try to get the large cat safely back in its cage. The alternative was to shoot it. Larry saw the commotion and went to find out what was going on. He had taken care of this animal in the past, and believed he could get the cat back in its cage. The head of the zoo gave him permission to try. Larry had everyone else back way off, stooped into a position making himself on eye level with the panther, and talked quietly to him. After a considerable amount of time, he stood, and with his encouragement, the black panther followed him back into its cage. Larry fed the cat to reward it, and all was well. more
