Tropical Image Tanning Salon

This establishment is highly recommended. I am from out of town and needed tanning services. Without hesitation when I requested a tour Mr. Tony was more than happy to show me all areas that I requested to see . He answered each and every question that I asked in a professional manner and a bit of humor. This is an establishment that enjoys it's client base or so it appeared when I observed the employees greeting clients.. Not being able to tan in a booth or the sun Tony recommened a spray tan. So a spay tan is what I recieved . He was very professional in every way possible, from explaining step by step as to the application process to the aftercare and recommendation .. Very friendly very professional......5***** . I will return to this location whenever I return to the Pensacola area . more

well where do i start ""Ms. JASMINE"" I Have tanned with tony for almost 10 years & been a employee for 7 of those years! before that my mother, close family and friends have tanned and still continue to tan with tony at the salon! Your accusations are completely absurd! Our rooms at tropical image dont even contain radios. there is a small speaker in every room aside from the stand up room that has its own system that is outside of the closed in area that you tan! Dont know who or where you may have gotten your info but they & you are very incorrect! I find it sad you took time out of your life to write so many mean, hateful, and false info on here! Tony is a very generous, sweet, caring person who knows alot about tanning. regardless of his skin color which really has nothing to do with if he knows anything about tanning! He loves what he does & is very passionate about man & women who tan get exactly what they are paying for! never once have i heard him make a rude comment to attack someone verbally! IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE FOR THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF TAKING OTHER PEOPLES WORDS FOR IT THEY SHOULD STOP IN WHEN THEY HAVE TIME. WE ARE A VERY UP TO DATE SALON & CLEAN AS WELL! I moved to the pensacola/perdido area 3 years ago... had a friend tell me about the salon that they have been tanning with since 2000.. 3 years later and i am STILL tanning with TONY! both me and my boyfriend LOVE HIM, his staff his new beds are awesome, he carries the top of the line products and knows more about TANNING then anyone could ever imagine!! the fact that i am a HAPPY customer and have friends that tan here reading the reivew below INSULTS me!! how dare someone say such a cruel thing! thats just sad and im GLAD I TAN HERE and will tell EVERYONE I KNOW! ps-my tan LOOKS GREAT more

I contacted Mr. Tony Nixon about the review above only to find out that person NEVER came into the salon, nor does this person exist. My wife & I are both loyal customers of Tropical Image and we have referred many friends. Tony is African American, but this does mean he doesn't know the business? Do you have to be caucasian to operate a tanning salon? That's silly! He is VERY knowledgeable of tanning, skin care and after care. Tony is also willing to share his knowledge with any customer. He took the time to show me this so-called radio with a camera and it is a working radio. My wife enjoys tanning there because of the service and attitude. She has never experienced any disrespect or harassment. Neither has any of her friends that are also customers. The beds they have are more modern and up-to-date than any facility we have tanned at. I respect Tony's ability to keep me informed and have a genuine care about me as a customer. \r \r I ENCOURAGE ANYONE READING THIS ARTICLE/REVIEW TO GO THERE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!!! After going to this tanning salon myself, I discovered that the owner, Tony, is very rude, controlling, perverted, and hypocritical. I walked in and before I got a tour, or even spoke about anything, he told me that because my skin tone, I could ONLY tan for 7 minutes. I am Italian, already tan, and never burn. If I am paying for 20 minutes, I want 20 minutes. He insists he knows everything about tanning, keeping your tan, and what beds to use. This man is an african american and doesnt share the same pigmentation as Caucasions. Soon after walking out, I started tanning at another salon, and started hearing many many stories about Tony and his salon. A customer at the salon I tan at said that she was tanning at Tropical Image, and saw a tiny camera inside the radio. Opened the radio and there was a camera pointing directly at the tanning bed. She called the cops but they didn't shut him down because it wasn't hooked up. But we know what his intentions are. Last night, a woman came into tan when I did she was telling me ALL about Mr. Tony and how he told her that she was too ""Round"" to use his tanning beds, and started showing her multiple exercises. This man is RUDE, PERVERTED, and SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS. DO NOT TAN HERE. more

Tanning at, Tropical Image, was the most rewarding thing ever! I had an awsome tan and I really learned how to keep it! Tony Nixon, the owner, really taught me a lot about tanning. After care is a big part of it, and he helped keep my tan looking brown. I was hospitalized for about 3 months, and when I came out of the hospital........I was still tan! Pros: You recieve one on one attention, to help make your tan be the best it can be! Cons: The salon is a little pricey, but remember....You get what you pay for! more
