I totally agree with Anthony S - Trenton Jewelers is a wonderful store, and the owner, Wayne is a creative genius! Jay J's review, is absurd - and has to be from a jealous competitor. I now live in North Carolina, and still drive all the way back to Michigan to make my jewelry purchases. Wayne has created some breathtaking pieces for me, my family and friends. I send everyone I know to Trenton Jewelers - and they are so glad I did. In fact, my nephew (who also lives in NC) drove to Michigan to have Wayne create an engagement ring for him.......it was exquisite and beat out every jewelry store in the Raleigh-Durham area for beauty and price. If you want honesty, integrity, a fair price, and beautiful jewelry - go to Trenton Jewelers......you'll be glad you did! Even from NC, it's worth the drive!!! more

Trenton Jewelers has given the best customer service. I have been dealing with them for 10 years. The owner is one of the most generous and honest individuals I have ever known. I have recommended several people to do business with Trenton Jewelers and everyone has come back and said wonderful things about their service, quality and price. \r Jay J's blog has been defaming Trenton Jewelers. It is not a true or an accurate blog as the owner was not there that day and the blog is an attempt to defame him by a competitor. more

Terrible craftsmanship and even worse customer service.\r \r My now-wife and I went here to have her wedding band and engagement ring soldered together and engraved with our initials. We were told the rings would be done sometime early the next day and they would call to let us know when they were ready, which was perfect because we were flying out to get married the day after that. So the next day came and we waited... and waited.... and waited some more. Finally, in the late afternoon and after no word from the store, my soon to be wife called and the person on the phone said our rings were ready to be picked up. Where was the call earlier in the day?! We were very busy with last minute details and this did not help our situation. \r \r When we arrived to pick up the rings, we were helped by a very young teenager looking boy that didn't have great customer service skills. Upon inspection of the rings, we instantly noticed that they engraved one of my initials wrong! The last letter was a ""C"" and should have been a ""J."" The kid said hold on and took it to the back where we could here the jeweler instantly get defensive and take no responsibility for the screw up. It actually wasn't his fault but he only seem to care about deflecting the blame. The woman that initially helped my wife copied the initials down wrong from the original write up to the work order for the jeweler. But regardless, we still needed it fixed as we were flying out the next morning for our wedding. Eventually, their conversation ended and he got to fixing the engraving. The kid came back and attempted to collect payment for the soldering and engravement job but we asked to wait until it was fixed before proceeding. \r \r So while we were waiting for them to fix their screw up, there was another customer in the store being helped by another less than enthusiastic associate. Towards the end of their conversation, the customer asked if they buy gold. The associate said yes and the customer handed over a few pieces of jewelery to be weighed and given a price. As the associate took the jewelery and headed to the back, we observed her rolling her eyes as if she was so inconvienced by this customer who had just spent money in their store. Pretty dissapointing. \r \r Back to our rings. The jeweler finally finished and the kid brought them back out. We inspected them and were not happy at all. The messed up initial was sloppily scratched out and the new correct initial was engraved on top of it. The new initial was a different size and was not evenly in line with the others. We said we were not happy with it but the kid asked for full payment anyway. We asked to speak with the jeweler to show him how bad of a job he did. Again, he went into defensive mode, told us it wasn't his fault, and that we still had to pay for the work that was done regardless if it was correct or not. We were so dissapointed and angry but saw that no one in that store was going to be helpful at all. We ended up paying the full amount and leaving with a screwed up wedding ring because we literally had no more time to waste as we still had many things to get done before flying out early the next morning. \r \r This experience with Trenton Jewelers is the reason why we will never do business with them again.\r more

Wonderful jewelry, great people! 3/28/2013

My husband and I became acquainted with this business within the last few months. We wanted to get some rings re-sized and my husband let me pick the jeweler, because he didn't know where to go. My parents bought jewelry from here many years ago, but I had never been there, so I said, why not go see what this place is about. Well, we love the place! Very nice people! We bought a ring here that is absolutely breathtaking and I get compliments on it all the time. Prices are not any more expensive than any other jeweler; but Wayne and staff have unique jewelry that you won't find at the mall stores. Try this place when you are looking for that special ring or other special piece for the special person in your life. Wayne will tell you all about his jewelry, he's very proud of his store and he should be, it's a great place! more

Amazing Experience! 10/20/2011

My boyfriend and I were looking for the perfect engagement ring.. We had gone back to Kay Jewelers where we purchased my first ring, and we were not happy with the service, so I started shopping locally at family owned places when I found Trenton Jewelers. I called there looking for a certain cut of diamond, which I found out is not common because they can be pricey. But they had 3!!! I was in shock, I literally hung up the phone and drove straight there! The owners wife helped me and was very very nice. The even held the ring I thought was perfect with no money or anything until we had time to come back. We went back 6 days later and they STILL had my ring I was in love with in the back with my name on it! I couldnt believe it, i was SO happy. We purchased the ring, and now are planning a fab wedding! THANK YOU TRENTON JEWELERS!! I will never shop any place else!! more

DO spend time/money here 10/27/2010

I have been here several times, and not once been upset with service. Sure, some of the women working there aren't the most enthusiastic women around but Wayne couldn't love what he does MORE. You can clearly tell that he loves what he does with a deep deep passion. I recently had my engagement ring enhanced with 2 more stones, I've had rings sized, hes built a few pieces for my mother. ALL of which couldn't have turned out better. If you have a decent amount of money and want something done from scratch that you won't see anyone else with...GO HERE. You will get what you pay for. Custom jewelry is a dream for any person, you won't be let down. more

Buyer beware 1/10/2010

My story: I wanted to purchase a man's promise ring for my boyfriend. When we sat down with the owner, he showed us bands we could order from a book. He stated that if we didn't like the band, we could return it. He never showed us the band when it came in, or I would have told him this was not the color of gold that he would want. Scott wanted a dark gold. He placed the stones, supposedly, and told us that he would put two other stones in another color green on the sides. When I picked up the ring the two greens together looked hideous. It was so ugly, neither of us liked it on Christmas day. So I tried to take the ring back, because I didn't trust him anymore, and the owner said to me that it was a special order and he would agree to change the stones and try to make the gold band darker, but he also said something to me that really pissed me off. He said, "I think what your problem is, is that Scott really doesn't want to wear a ring." I couldn't believe what an ass he was. He lied to us about being able to return the band, plus he never showed it to me when it first came in. He should have showed us the stones and exactly how it would look before putting it together. I will never go back to this store again. The ladies were nice, but the owner talks to you in this slow, funeral parlor demeanor, and it's nauseating. I turned in some gold of mine, which he never told me how much it was worth, he weighed in in the back room, I am sure it was worth at least $500., plus I paid an additional $350 for this ring that we do not like. Plus the owner said he has been making Mason rings for 20 years, and he didn't even know what the symbols stood for, when Scott asked him, so he took away our trust in him completely. Pros: Friendly Staff minus the owner Cons: Cannot return jewlery purchased more

My Perfect Wedding Ring! 2/14/2009

I dreamed of a tanzanite wedding ring with baguettes but could never find exactly what I wanted. Trenton Jewelers created exactly what I wanted. They were very patience and helpful. Wayne and his staff did not want me to leave there with nothing less than the perfect ring and I did just that. I would recommend them highly and I will never purchase fine jewelry from anyone else. Pros: Helpful staff, selection, high quality Cons: I really can't think of one! more
