What can i say? Good Parking? 6/17/2009

Very excited to go there. Traveled quite a distance based on reviews and menu. Staff was not that warm and welcoming as you might expect although our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. It was uncomfortably cold inside. The food went downhill as the meal progressed from Appetizer, through pasta, entree and desert. Overated for what it offers. Mediocre at best. Pros: Easy to Park Cons: Food overated; not the friendliest of places more

Scratch kitchen in the suburbs! What more could you aks for? 3/23/2009

For the person who wrote a bad review. I think you should give DellaNonna's another chance. I agree that the hostess, who is also the owner's wife, is a bit surly, but if you can move past that, I think you'll find the food is worth it. Pros: Great Wine List/Great Food! more

Worth the wait... 3/14/2009

I haven't even digested yet but I am compelled to tell you that this was simply the most satisfying, the most flavorful meal I have had in years. There was a bit of a wait but better to see a thriving and full restaurant than a lifeless and empty one. It was worth the wait! The service was extraordinary, very pleasant and professional. My steak was cooked perfectly and I am hard to please when it comes to my beef. My wife had the Bolognese, which I tried, and it was exceptional. Our dessert gelato was amazing, one taste and I was back in Rome. We will be recommending della Nonna to our friends and family! Pros: Dinner, Dessert, Service, Atmosphere more

Best Eggplant, Pizza, Veal...Just plain outstanding experience 2/13/2009

I visited Trattoria Della Nonna on Thursday night, February 12. Although it was my first experience at this little Mansfield eatery, it will by no means be my last. Perusing the numerous reviews on this site, I was shocked to see one criticizing the food and service! Our experience was nothing less than outstanding! Pros: Service, Food, Management, Experience Cons: None, Customers looking for free meals more

Very Disappointing 2/10/2009

We went here for my Grandmother's 80th Birthday on Saturday night and it was so disappointing! The hostess was rude and the service was awful! After waiting almost an hour for our meal only five of the seven dinners we ordered were delivered together, and my husbands was over cooked. The other two finally came when everyone else was half done. We didn't have any appetizers, or dessert and the meal was $430 for 7 people. The service was awful and completely rushed. When my aunt tried to order a glass of wine at the end of dinner the server said ""another party is waiting for this table""! Are you kidding me?- we won't be back!! It's too bad because the atmosphere is cute and there aren't too many places to go in the area. To top it off I tried to call on Tuesday (the next day they were open) to share my disappointing experience with the owner & they did nothing but make excuses. Unbelievable! I've worked in the restaurant industry and may have considered giving it one more chance if they even offered a complementary drink, dessert, or anything to show they cared!! Pros: Cute atmosphere- food is good, but some meals over cooked Cons: SERVICE more

To die for!!! 8/19/2008

My husband and I visited Trattoria Della Nonna for the first time Friday night at the suggestion of some friends. The atmosphere and warm greeting was unexpected on a busy weekend evening. We were seated and attended to as though we were the only couple in the restaurant, and after devouring every piece of the veal chop stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese, and fresh spinach I couldn't stop myself from helping myself to some of my husband's lamb loin chops glazed with a port wine reduction. Pros: great food, great service more

Good food 8/13/2008

I enjoyed there food! the cook is great but the hostess who was drinking the whole night with a little coffee mixed in was very load and sometimes rude and had a yelling match over the phone durring my dinner I found it very unprofessional and couldnt wait to leave! Pros: the Cook is Talented! Cons: The load mouth Hostess more

Out of this World! 11/11/2007

Trattoria di Nonna is Out of This World! It gives new meaning to Italian dining. Their red sauce (gravy) is perhaps the best I've tasted. Try the pizza for a shared appetizer. It's a delicacy. The entres give new meaning to ""indescribeably delicious""! The staff is great, as is the service. If this were located in downtown Boston or Providence, walk-ins would be impossible. It's out of the way if you're not on '95, but we came from Marshfield & it was worth every minute of the drive. We'll be back. Pros: Absolutelly best Food Cons: Parking can be tough more

Trattoria is a REAL treat 1/7/2007

My wife and I enjoy dining out and the Trattoria Del La Nonna is one of our favorites. The food is fantastic, the service professional but friendly. Simply put, we both love it!. Pros: Great food and service Cons: They don't take reservations more
