Traces of Time Photography

<p>Traces of Time isn’t really about photography, but about helping each client capture those priceless moments and turn them into treasures to last a lifetime. I know it sounds pretty hokey, but time is the one thing we never have enough of.<br /><br />Harvey Mackay wrote: “Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can<br />use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.”<br /><br />My clients trust me to capture time and memories through my creativity and my camera. If there's one thing we've all learned in life is that it's simply too short. Every moment that rolls by is one that won't come our way again and that's what lights up the passion I have for documenting the human spirit. You can never get back lost time, but you can capture the memories and hang on to them forever.<br /><br />I'm Kitty Mason, a mom and a grandmother, a photographer, an artist and a storyteller. I'm here to help you tell the story of your priceless moments, your own traces of time.<br /><br />All photography is done on location. If you have a location in mind, we'll go there. If not, I have several options in the Gallup area and we're able to shoot at those places with just a few days notice. While I don't have a physical studio, I do have everything needed for a studio setup, lights, props and backdrops. I work by appointment only and prefer at least 2 weeks notice although unless I'm totally booked I can get you in sooner. When you contact me,we'll meet somewhere for a cup of coffee or tea (or one of those fancy drinks like a Frappe) and discuss the places and things you enjoy and then decide on a location for your photo shoot. Except for private land (unless it's yours),we can go just about anywhere in the area surrounding Gallup (weather permitting). I don't own a studio but I have places I can use as a studio if you prefer. 

Most of my photography is commonly referred to as "Lifestyle Photography". That's a broad term but it covers everyone - Seniors,Children and Adults as well as Family's,Couples and Pets doing the things they enjoy.

I also do Photo Retouching and Restoration of older photographs. It can be tedious work but I enjoy seeing an old photo come back to life. I never work on the original. I scan your photograph and give it back to you then I work on the copy. Most of the retouching I do myself but if the photo is in need of more than I'm capable of I scan it and send it to a great Photo Lab who have artists that do nothing but work on restorations.
