Damn Good Sushi 5/25/2004

The thing that makes Toro have the best sushi consistently (and makes me drive out of LA for it) is the fish picks (always the best quality and freshest) and their special Toro-unique rolls. You can always ask the sushi chef or owner what the freshest meat of the day is or what they recommend. Service and price are also excellent. Pros: Quality, Tasty, Fun more

Authentic Sushi in Chino?? 2/1/2004

You bet. Many people find the greatest restaurants in the strangest places. The sushi can't be beat. It's fresh and very delicious. Try the pepper salmon roll...mmmm...i'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The service is top notch and you get the feeling that you're that guy Norm at Cheers. I've driven from my home in West LA all the way to Chino just for the sushi..and that's saying a lot with the gas prices being high and all. I definitely recommend this restaurant for all the sushi lovers out there. Pros: friendly staff, fresh fish, big screen tv more

Best I've ever had 1/26/2004

I consider myself a sushi connoisseur as I've enjoyed it for over 20 years from all over the U.S. and Asia. Yet, one of the best places I've ever been to happens to be in Chino. The sushi chefs are amazing! I've never experienced the range of tastes that they delivered. From traditional style to modern fusion, each bite overwhelmed me. Excuse the visual, but one night I literally drooled twice as I bit into my sushi. It's a great place for a date, just hanging out with friends (big screen for sports/shows), or dining alone. Everyone is so friendly and courteous that you feel like you're eating in your own dining room. Sake bombs are always fun but you can also sip on a single malt or beer. Living up to its name, you have to try the toro sashimi. That is by far the best I've ever had. more
