Delicious food, super-friendly and attentive staff, lots of other children so you feel at home there with your own, great children's menu...

Ok food, not ok service 3/15/2006

This place needs to re thinnk their hiring process. The immature woman manager is rude and classless and the wait staff is lazy and clueless. The food has improved, but the service makes you want to run! Pros: garlic rolls Cons: bad attitude, bad service, over priced more

a great little italian place 12/2/2005

Tomatina is a wonderful italian restauratant located in downtown Walnut Creek, an extremely pleasant place to wander around and shop. The food is delicous, the pizza thin and wood fired to perfection, the salads always fresh, the lasagna always cheesy and delicious (though I must admit that the pizza is far and away my favorite) Just be prepared to wait 30-60 for a table at peak hours, I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about, this place is ALWAYS crowded. Its worth the wait though. more

The food is good here, but I don't see it as a good place for small children. It's too hard to move around and the pizzas have to do a balancing act on your table. more

reasonably priced gem in wine country 5/21/2005

My husband and I enjoy spending time in the upper Napa Valley. However, we do not care to drop $300+ per night on lodging or $100+ per meal. Instead, we search for reasonably priced establishments with great ambience. Tomatina is one of those places. It's a great little casual Italian place. Their ingredients are incredibly fresh. You order at a counter and find a table inside or outside on a beautiful patio. Two people can have wood-fired pizzas, salads, and beverages for under $30. The place is NEVER crowded, but I believe it is owned by the Tra Vigne chef, so you know it's quality. Pros: great value, beautiful setting, quiet and relaxing Cons: none! more

Food decent, but nothing special (worth trying for a casual dinner). Outdoor patio seating which is nice on a warm WC day/evening. more

There is now a Tomatina in Alameda, CA that is quite spacious and kid friendly. The price is right for taking the family and the food is great. more

This is a small restaurant. While it is kid friendly, please keep in mind that the majority of the diners are adults. more
