I live in Dallas, but everytime I visit Ft. Worth I make it a point to venture into the Grape Escape. Located directly across the street from the Bass Performance Hall, this quaint, romantic wine bar has many secrets it keeps hidden. The menu for one, ranges from duck pizza, an olive tapenade delight, and also an array of cheeses, fruits, soups and salads. All to pair with the wine served which would please any connoisseur. If you're new to the wine scene, they have menus of flights to choose from, consisting of reds, whites, champagnes or you can select by region of countries. About the only thing missing was dark chocolate which I snuck in myself (they didn't mind) to balance my Malbec.
Pros: ambience, outdoor seating, candlelight
Cons: no dark chocolate on the menu!
