Great old-fashioned hamburgers 9/20/2007

I ate at Tilley's Grill last week and felt like I had gone back to an earlier era. That would be the era of the old-fashioned hamburger. The taste was fantastic and I could really tell that all of the ingredients were freshly prepared. I sampled both the french fries and the onion rings and again I was reminded of food I enjoyed as a teenager. I also was impressed with the school banners of the various Texas universities that hang on the walls. I heartily recommend Tilley's to those who long for the really good food of their youth. more

Great grub- -Great place to meet. 9/12/2007

Tilly's has rapidly become our new home-away-from-home. The menu is varied with excellent burgers, monster natchos, killer hot dogs, and THE best steak philly in the Southwest. There's plenty of room and you don't have to worry about prompt service and a friendly smile because Pam and her staff will heap it on you at no extra cost! Pros: Both thumbs high for friendly service and great grub Cons: Parking can be dicy but it's worth the search. more

Best Burgers, onion rings and fries, in town. Awsome appetizers. Very low prices. 9/5/2007

Very clean, unique Texas type ambience. The food is delivered quickly and the service makes you feel like you are old friends. The meat for the burgers is fresh ground daily and the fries and onion rings are fresh cut to your order - and you can taste the differnce. You will always feel like you have received a very substantial amount of food for your money. The same can be said for the appetizers. The salsa is made fresh every day and served (temperature) hot. I have had friends exclaim that it is the BEST in Texas. Fiendly for business or Family activities. Pros: Texas feel Ambience more

WOW! The new owners really put a face lift to a Dallas landmark. Located on Greenville in the Old Joe Willy location. The expand menu includes everthing from homemade chips and salsa to gigantic mozerrela cheese sticks....Entree's to include; Burgers, which have to the best in Dallas..sandwiches range from the club to a bring back your childhood bolgna sandwich... all accompanied by hand cut fries or for a buck more indulge in the onion rings(sooo good) more

Best French fries and onion rings I've ever had! And the burger was good, too. 6/10/2007

If you want a great burger and the very best onion rings and French fries in the Metroplex, then Tilly's is your restaurant. Kids are welcome and there are plenty of TV screens and video games to keep them interested...and you, too, if you want to follow your favorite team. Pam Wert, the manager/proprietor is vivacious and made us feel like we were her favorite customers...and she remembered our names. more

Great Burgers and Incredible Sides...We Love It! 2/11/2007

Tilley's is located in the old Joe Willey's location on Greenville Avenue. The burgers are great, but the side dishes are to die for. Try the fried mozerella sticks, they are the best anywhere! Their stuffed jalapenos are awesome! I have visited this restaurant numerous times, and have never walked away disappointed. This place is laid-back and great for any family to visit. On several occasions, the restaurant manager personally greeted us at the door and was ""West Texas Friendly"". She told us that a good number of the recipes used to create their dishes were handed down through the family of the owners. They definitely separate themselves from the usual ""heat and serve"" mentality that other restaurnants of this type. They have a lot of different beer selections and plenty of wide screen televisions to watch the games. In the corner, they have a few ""family friendly"" video games and pinball machines to occupy the kids, but there is definitely no Chucky Cheese atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. Pros: Great Food, Family Friendly, Friendly Staff more
