As part of the divorce property settlement I became the sole owner of my house. The County tax rolls showed both names, mine and my ex-wife as joint owners. After talking to many county employees without any success in fixing the problem one finally suggested that I try a title company to get the title to the property straightened out. I called Ticor and they explained that the title was already in my name and that to get the tax rolls fixed I would have to fill out a change of address form, which they sent me in that day's mail. They explained how to fill out the form and where to send it. All for someone who was not even a customer.
