This hospice took care of my father for 6 months. During those months, we were constantly on the phone with the hospice because of missed appointments, mix-ups in prescriptions, non-delivery of needed medications, rude and offensive home health aides, poor customer service. Generally, if I had my father still alive today and he needed hospice care, I would not select this facility. This facility was selected by his primary care physician and wasn't the choice of the family. Often, when we mentioned who we have as a home hospice caregiver, the reply was a look of surprise and the comment: ""Oh, them!"". Upon questioning a few people and physicians in the area, this hospice is NOT a favored choice. They suggested palliative care or switching facilities. It was too late to switch facilities and dad passed away shortly before Christmas 2005.
Pros: close proximity, direct medicare bill, nice personnel
Cons: poor communications, minimal care possible, lack of cooperation
