on 12/12/12 my dad died in newport richey i live in pa i was notified my dad had passed away i called these scumbags and talked to a bob who thought he was the smartest p---- in the world he told me my dad would have a funeral on sat 12/15/12 i made arrangements on 12/13/12 to fly to fl then he lets me know he was to busy to have a viewing sat and the funeral would be monday which i had made plans to go home on a flight mon morning at 5:40 am needless to say i could not stay for the service because the airline would not change the date of flight which was bad enough but to view my dad on sat for 20min this scum charged me $395 to view him all i have to say is i hope these people rot in hell and if i ever got a chance to see bob again which he was not at the viewing to rob me of my money i would spit in his face more

Yes, ""seriously""!! My mother-in-law passed away two days ago, and when the grieving husband received a phone call from Dobies regarding her CREMATION Mr. Dobies said, and I QUOTE: ""Well, I'm going to need my money up front. I've been burned too many times."" Not only was he exceptionally rude to a man who had lost his wife only hours before, but he chose that particular verbage?! Our family is OUTRAGED! I am not sure who you are, Bigee, but your apparent loyalty to Dobies is ""SERIOUSLY"" misplaced! more

rec805... Maybe its you at fault. Dobies has been there for many years and served thousands. Surely if he was in the wrong the web would be full of bad comments. But NOT. All I can say is that an Inependent funeral home is much better than those corporate ones. more

I want to warn everyone of the irrational, unprofessional and unethical behavior of Mr. Dobie that I was subjected to during one of the most difficult times in my life. more
