The Scene
Although the owner calls it his "museum," the term doesn't do justice to these 50 acres. Almost 20 buildings have been restored or replicated, as old as a late-1800s log home from an original homestead and as new as a 1948 gas station. Highlights include the depot from the movie "Iron Will" and a one-room schoolhouse from the 1920s.
Special Events
Throughout the growing season, local farmers sell their fresh produce at a cooperative market. A huge array of accompanying demonstrations and events includes honey making and beehives; toy- and doll-making; maple syrup gathering; draft horse rides; a scarecrow contest; a corn maze; and "feeds" of corn, watermelon and muskmelon. Call for dates.
