A sad pastrami experience. I arrived to try the restaurant on something that is quentessentially deli: A Hot Pastrami and cheese on Rye Sandwich. It was a clean and generally friendly establishment, but I should have been nervous when I didn't see or smell any fresh-cut Pastrami out. Still, I begin to order. They offer to load the sandwich up with lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc; I decline. They were out of Provolone, so I had to go with either American or Monterrey Jack. Jack it was. The bread was nice, the overall smell was decent, but the meat was near horrendous. It was fatty, over-spiced, and had more in common with peppered bacon than anything resembling Pastrami. But the bread was good, right? All in all, it's not the place to go for a good sandwich. I cannot speak to any other foods offered there, though. However, if this is the standard by which they operate, I wouldn?t take a goat to dine there.
