Best

I would like to think my family knows good food, we've been to several of the best (consensus) restaurants in the country i.e. Babbo, 21 Club, Gramercy Tavern in NYC. Having said...

Worst

I ate here recently and was very disappointed with the food - the supposed prawn appetizer came with a bed of mashed potato and 3 prawns. The seared scallops came on a bed of mash...

Lovely view 3/11/2009

Fining dining in Kirkland, very nicely located restaurant with a great view of the water. Especially during sunset, the view is magnificent. The dishes are specialized to seafood. I didn't think the food was all that different, but what made the experience enjoyable was the view and the piano bar. The piano itself is a table. Great for small dinners or group event, but just gotta make reservation. Decent price. Other places to try out seafood would be Anthony's or McCormick in Bellevue. They offer valet, but if you want free parking, I think you'll have to find street parking. Maybe now they have their own parking. more

Fish Cafe--Great Seafood and View 4/14/2006

I love going to the Kirkland waterfront, it has a great view and is usually less crowded then Alki or the Pier. When I'm in the mood for seafood, I generally go to Fish Cafe in Kirkland. They have great fresh fishes in different season and the view is absolutely beautiful! The staff are great, I always get exceptional services. As for the price?? Their main dishes ranges from $24-$50, a decent chunk of change. What's great is you don't have to dress up to go to this fancy restaurant, I was in my jeans and tank top and it was fine. A great place to take on a date. more

Third Floor Fish Cafe, Kirkland WA 3/22/2006

This is a fabulous place. The service was superb, the food was amazing and the drinks were great too. Special cheers to the calamari, its the best I have ever had. You can see the water from the entire restaurant. I suggest going at dusk because the Seattle skyline is breathtaking. There was also a bar inside with live piano music. more

Fine Dining on the Eastside 3/21/2006

Great view of Lake Washington, and downtown Seattle. We were seated by the window, which was nice because I like to keep en eye on my yacht while I dine. Actually I think I may have been the only one in there whose boat wasn't parked outside. The service was great as was the food. We ordered the crispy calamari to start - can't go wrong with that! I ordered the Soup de Poisson that had prawns, scallops, & fish in lobster saffron broth, with crostini and rouille. The soup was delicious, and very filling! I had just enough room for some gelato, chocolate hazelnut gelato. The food was spendy, but worth it. Great food, great view, great service, and great company what more can you ask for? I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a night out in Kirkland, or looking to take friends or family out to a nice restaurant. As a side note, I also noticed a piano room off to the side when we first walked in which looked like it would be a lot of fun in the evenings. more

Excellent Seafood & Beautiful Lakeside Setting 3/16/2006

If you ever want to capture the essense of the great Pacific Northwest in one restaurant, in my opinion, it's the Third Floor Fish Cafe. It's sent on the third floor of a building with magnificent views. You can't miss this one! Quiet, romantic dining, with excellent seafood dishes. It's pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. I keep going back for more. Reservations are a must and you need to do it well in advance. more

good seafood, upscale atmosphere, great sunset views 3/13/2006

This restaurant reminded me of Brasa a bit, not just because it participates in the 25 for 25 program (25 restaurants offering 3-course meals from $25 Sun-Thur for the month of March 2006), but also by the level of service, type of menu, and prices (most dinner courses around $28, though the lobster leg is $45). However, the food was great, but not as outstanding as Brasa, the menu is more geared towards fish (as suggested by the restaurant name), and the Third Floor Fish Cafe has a view that Brasa does not. On a clear day, you'd get a kick-ass view of the sunset of the Olympics. Overall, I recommend it pretty highly, for a date, special occasion or business dining. more
