Great location for morning walks, cute rooms 11/28/2007

Stayed here with some family members after looking for a reasonably priced, ideally situated hotel w/a pool. This is a 3-star and it definitely stays at that level --- nothing fancy but comfortable-- the main outdoor lobby area is probably the coolest part of the hotel w/the silk canopies and bed-like seats and pillows. Service was helpful & the rooms had great views of the residential area (unless you're on the street side, which is conveniently located across from a drgustore and strip mall). The beds are tempurpedic, so if you're not into a bed that molds to your body, you won't be comfortable. The downstairs restaurant had better lunch than breakfast and the pool is super tiny, so don't expect to do laps. I've stayed in plenty of 5-star hotels, but if we needed a hotel in a pinch, I'd come to the Tower again. Pros: service, quiet, quaint Cons: small pool area more

Reasonable rate for B.H. area 7/8/2007

Check-in was fast and smooth. My room was clean and quiet (facing away from Olympic Blvd.). For the rate they charge and location (right next to B.H.), it's a good deal (if you are looking for better hotel). Although the food was not great, it was decent. Pros: Location and price Cons: could be noisy if room is facing Olympic Blvd. more

You can do better than this 4/29/2007

My wife and I stayed here to try out the featured Tempur-Pedic bed. This place is old and dirty, from the carpets to the rooms and beyond. The lounge was poorly staffed and service was terrible for how many people were there. The popcorn machine was also at kid level and we watched as one 5 year old ate directly from it unsupervised for at least 30 minutes. The room was $269 + $24 for parking which was way too much for what you get, for that price you can stay at the Renaissance in Hollywood and cab it over to Beverly Hills. Pros: Tempur-Pedic beds Cons: Old, rundown, expensive more

  • Built in 1965, this twelve-story Beverly Hills hotel for affluent travelers actually sits high atop a hill, not to mention a stone's throw from trendy boutiques and 90210 shopping.
