Beautiful hotel and the room was nice. However, we had a problem with the toilet not working. It was making the loudest noise. We had to call maintenance about 5x that night and ...

Sculler's is the Finest Jazz Club in New England/Anywhere 11/4/2008

I've been attending jazz concerts at Sculler's for at least 10 years and Sculler's has the best acoustics, best jazz and excellent staff, focused on extraordinary customer service. more

Best Jazz spot 10/21/2008

The variety of jazz acts that Sculler's has cannot be matched in Boston. They have vocals, piano, percussion, horns and anything else that you can think off. The atomosphere is always welcoming. The price for the shows can't be beat for the level of entertainment that they have. There is always something that the pickiest of jazz lovers can find to listen to at Sculler's. You can't get any closer to the artists than at Sculler's. It's an intimate setting with great sound. The service is great and this seems to be lacking in more service oriented industries these days. They want and appreciate your business. more

Worth the Trip! 10/12/2008

Every time I'm in town, I make a point to go to Scullers. The atmosphere is small and intimate and yet they have the best names in in Jazz. The staff is so friendly and accomodating and the view is fantastic. Would highly recommend. more

The Only Jazz Club !! 9/18/2008

Scullers Jazz Club is by far my favorite entertainment venue in the Boston area. The quality of performers is unbeatable, and the service is second to none. We've always done the dinner/show which to me is the way to go. Park in the parking garage, have a leisurely dinner, then enjoy cocktails and the show. Ideally, you should book a room.... relax and take in the view! \r Can't say enough good about the whole experience! You've got to try it!! more

Diamond in the value rough 9/7/2008

We live 90 minutes outside Boston and stay at the Doubletree frequently after Sox games or late-night events. The hotel has all the amenities: lounge, restaurant, pool, internet, PARKING, etc. We always find it to be friendly, clean, with a spacious lobby and rooms. As a former Bostonian, the view of the Charles River can't be beat (once saw Santa Claus going up the river in a motorboat)! Also, the Charles River Bikepath across the street is good for a run. I highly recommend this hotel for families, tourists, and even business folks because of it's proximity to travel. Great job! Pros: Value, parking, rooms more

Great Destination Spot! 9/5/2008

I come into the Boston area from New York about once a year, always stay at the Doubletree, and always catch a show at Scullers at least once during my stay. The music is great, the ambience is even better, and they know how to pour a drink (unlike so many places in Manhattan).\r \r I'm a scotch man myself. Goes well with the Jazz.\r \r \r \r \r Pros: Ambience and atmosphere, quality of music more

This is the best? 5/2/2006

Don't get me wrong, I had a really good time. Scullers has great artists that come though. The drink menu is fantastic. Prices are high, but that's to be expected. However, I'm from Chicago where they have REAL jazz clubs. Seeing the show in what was essentially a converted conference room in the hotel took a lot of the fun out of it for me. I didn't get any vibe from the place. Pros: Small, Drink Menu, Great Artists Cons: No Vibe more

Scullers is the best Jazz Club in Boston 5/15/2005

We enjoy good music and you don't get a better venue than Scullers to enjoy it in. The room is small and intimate. Don't be afriad to put on those dressy clothes gathering dust in the closet but casual is fine too. Either way, you're going to be comfortable . Make sure you take advantage of the dinner and show package. The food at the Boathouse Grille is delicious and you get front row seating at the show although it's impossible to be far from the performers. If you're from out of town stay at the hotel. It's a clean and well-run operation and keeps you off the streets after those late night concerts. Pros: Intimate, Small, Close to Stage more

Best club in Boston 9/16/2004

Truly the perfect place to enjoy top performers! I've seen Nora Jones, Lou Rawls, Harry Connick Jr and many others at Scullers. The staff is always accommodating and professional. Small enough to feel like you're on stage, large enough to attract the best as well as up and coming musicians. Lounge menu is perfect and very reasonable. The food and waitstaff are friendly & consistant. Great spot to impress or break the ice on a first date. Upscale yet comfortable. Very easy to get in & out of. Pros: great value, comfortable, excellent acoustics more

Excellent Intimate Jazz 8/31/2004

I have been to Scullers on several occasion and had an excellent time. The seating allows you to feel as though you are on stage and can interact with the performers. The service is friendly and attentive. With the availability of hotel rooms and a world class restaurant, the performance turns into a wonderful evening as a couple or with a group of friends. I highly recommend Scullers! Pros: Performers, Parking, Hotel Rooms more

Don't stay here! 3/25/2004

Beautiful hotel and the room was nice. However, we had a problem with the toilet not working. It was making the loudest noise. We had to call maintenance about 5x that night and each time the guy came, the problem was still not fixed. At the time we checked out, I complained to the manager. He was rude and implied that I was lying about the problem. Spolied my whole experience and would NOT stay there again. Pros: Beautiful indoor deco more

Certainly not a 10! 3/2/2003

The service is o.k., and the drinks as good as most bars. The music is not cheap! Tickets can be expensive. A real advantage is the locale provides easy parking. But certainly not a ten! Pros: parking Cons: crowded, expensive more

Why cross the river, Scullers is jazz! 7/30/2002

Scullers is the only place in town for top-notch jazz. Not many places in the country can bring in Wynton Marsalis (who I just saw there in June, awesome), Joe Sample, Roy Hargrove, and Pat Metheny and present them in an old school, intimate setting. Regattabar doesn't even come close, maybe one real headliner a month. Pros: great acts, great ambience, easy parking more

Great Night 7/17/2002

This place is amazing. Best live place to see Jazz in all of New England. Myself and 4 friends went there for the first time last week and we had a great night. The staff was real cool and the drinks were healthy. I recommend highly more
