My family has recently been visiting many of the Assisted Living residences in Modesto, for my 90 year old mother. Although the others were friendly and clean, there is just something especially inviting about the Stratford...It's beautifully appointed, the staff is very friendly, the seniors were all smiling, laughing, animated and the price is right on par with everyone else's... but the care is what totally convinced us to apply for a room for our Mom. I 100% disagree with the 5/18/11 review...If you are searching for a place for your parents, be SURE to make a stop at the Stratford! We did not make an appointment, but just showed up, and were immediately welcomed and shown around. You will be very impressed! The minute (and I'm not exaggerating) that we walked into the Stratford, we knew w/t a doubt, our Mom will love it there. more

Highly wouldn't recommend this facility to anybody. Food:Terrible Management:NOT compassionate Price: Over the top pricey. Dont let the looks fool you in this assisted living home. Majority of the caregivers are friendly. They have given up really good staff members. Its absolutely sad too see how they have turned that place into. The workers didnt seem all the way there showing me around. The AL director was just absolutely rude and seemed like she didnt know what she was doing. And the Executive director was just .....put it this way she seems to think to much of herself, if you dont care about your family member and want them to live in hell house. Then maybe you should check this place out! so sad to see they have a place running like this. more

My Nana really enjoys living here. They provide lots of fun activities for the residents. She really enjoys movie night. The staff is always friendly when we come to visit. We planned a surprise party for Nana's 80 birthday the staff helped us keep it a secret so she wouldn't find out. It was the best party ever we used the chef to cook up her favorite meal and we all enjoyed together in the family dining room. They have really made Nana feel as if this is her home away from home. Thanks for everything Stratford !! You're the best!! more

Caretakers are very helpful and considerate. Food is pretty bad. and little portions. (horrible service in the dining room) Alot of put on ""nicenesses"" ... not sincere. Good activities if you like bingo..great bus outings...parties are nice too.--not enough though. more
